I couldn’t wait to start custom quilting this next Title IX donation quilt. First, because I fussy cut every center square and it’s absolutely adorable. Two, I saw a custom quilting design @shanie.longarm.quilting did and I was dying to try it (refer to the red arrow). I’m going to draw this design in all of the sashing.

The fabric in this quilt was donated by @sewbernice @bessaboostudio the background was donated by @knotted_thread & the red check is a 108 by @connectingthreads

This is the gorgeous Donut Hole pattern by @knotted_thread. I sold these so fast at my pop up. They are perfect to hold chapstick, cards, headphones and more. You can just clip it on your bag. Great accessory for your custom handbag. @nelmsdesigns DM if you want one of your own!

Theo absolutely loves the water. He is naturally drawn to it. The sparkle, the waves, the joy of jumping in, holding his breath, and floating.

Ms. Amy and the Aqua Smiles team have been an integral part of Theo’s journey. He started swim lessons at nine months old, as water safety has always been a priority for our family. When we received his Autism diagnosis shortly after his 2nd birthday, we were committed more than ever to his understanding of water safety and the importance of his lessons. Theo had to pause his lessons at 2.5 years old after we discovered he had brain cancer. A year ago, when Theo completed treatment, Ms. Amy and Ms. Brittany helped Theo to regain much of the strength he had lost and develop the skills he needs to be comfortable and safe in the water.

Aqua Smiles has always made us feel welcome and faced Theo’s difficulties, both sensory and physically with ease, modifying their teaching to him. Their openness to inclusivity and willingness to adapt is why Theo has been so successful. We are thrilled with how far he has come and love how much Theo looks forward to each new lesson!

THANK YOU to the beautiful humans below ❤️ who partnered with me to make these quilts possible. I’m so incredibly grateful!! I can’t do this without help. So far 25 quilts have been donated to Title IX and 1 to NH Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence. That’s at least 25 lives touched. I carefully track every donation and every quilt made. PLEASE NOTE: If you’ve donated & don’t see your name, it’s because there are more donations to share and more quilts to come as the work begins for the fall of 2026 school year.
