I attended the first of 4 oil painting classes from @winslowartstudio happening this month at Hellbrook Ink. It’s always good to go back to the basics and refresh my skills and understanding. This class is a monochromatic study series, where we work on understanding the fundamentals of oil painting and how to create a light effect on simple objects to give the illusion of atmosphere in our 2D work. Today’s theme was spheres.

This class will be happening for the next 3 Mondays from 10am to 1pm at Hellbrook. Feel free to join us next week!

Afterwards, I had to take advantage of the perfect weather this evening for a hike up Stowe Pinnacle where I got to see the full Super Harvest Moon rise from behind the mountain during peak foliage, while the sun was setting. I couldn’t have asked for a prettier place to end the day. The moonlit hike back down was a cherry on top.

I have always had a love for art and drawing, but it really deepened during my time living in New York. I started getting tattooed young and quickly fell in love—not just with the art itself, but with the powerful sense of community it creates. Over the years, working in a variety of shops and being exposed to different styles and approaches really helped shape my own practice.

Now based in Vermont after living in NYC for over a decade, I combine a love of traditional and classic tattoo styles with a folk and fantasy-inspired twist. I am drawn to the magic of storytelling through imagery, and I aim to create pieces that feel timeless, personal, and a little otherworldly.

For me, tattooing is about more than making beautiful images—it’s about connection. I feel deeply honoured to hold space for others, and to create pieces that can help people feel more at home in their bodies. Tattooing helped me reclaim mine, and if I can support others in that same journey, it’s the most meaningful part of what I do.

When I’m not tattooing or drawing, I’m out hiking in the woods, watching F1 (praying for Ferrari to win a world championship!) or reading too many fantasy books :)
