A brutal tragedy occurred in the small town of Daniel, Wyoming to a young wolf many have named Hope. Cody Roberts separated Hope from her Mama and her pack and ran her down with his snowmobile (a legal sport called coyote whacking). Hope was gravely injured but still alive.

He dragged her to the Green River Bar where he duct taped her muzzle and tortured her for hours before a cheering crowd and then killed her. She suffered greatly and must have been so terrified. He was only fined $250 from @wygameandfish not for animal cruelty but for having a live animal. Wolves, coyotes, and wildlife predators are not protected in the state of Wyoming. In fact, they are vilified.

On May 26th life in Daniel was about to change forever thanks to one man, @jonas.black his Harley-Davidson, and his battle cry, #HogsForHope

My mom, Savanna, and I headed for Daniel and stood in town for 2.5 hours waiting to film the #HogsForHope motorcycle rally. The locals were angry, shot a coyote, duct taped her muzzle, and threw her into the street. Poor buddy. It was horrifying. They shouted, laughed, booed, and called us every name in the book.
Hogs For Hope rode through town peacefully.

I had the privilege to tape an interview with locals: Kelly Ravner and Cali ‘Hare, managing editor of The Pinedale Roundup. Mrs Ravner talked about the thousands of coyotes killed by her dad and his buddies with snowmobiles. Thousands... did I hear that right? And with snowmobiles?! I commend both women for their bravery in speaking out against the abuse and genocide. Mrs. Ravner’s truck was parked in front of us. It got keyed. She said she was there to give back to wildlife. She is Incredible! Beautiful! 🐺💪

This hatred is ingrained and goes back generations BUT the momentum for change is happening right now. Please follow and support, “A Cry for the Wild”, an event in Washington D.C. on June 26th to end the torture and killing of wolves and wildlife. www.cryforthewild.org Please join us!! #CryForTheWild #ProtectOurWildlife #BanCoyoteWhacking

Thank you Sublette County Sheriff’s Office and Sublette County Highway Patrol for keeping the peace. Thank you Bill Masure for your drone, eyes in the sky.
