Meet the winemaker behind the wines of @KoehlerWinery! 🍷

At the heart of the estate is Winemaker and Vineyard Manager Trace Brueske, whose passion for the land guides every bottle. After studying wine and viticulture at Cal Poly and gaining experience at renowned wineries including Goldeneye, Bien Nacido and Stephen Ross, Trace joined Koehler in 2022 with a thoughtful, vineyard-first approach to winemaking.

From revitalizing Koehler’s heritage vines to introducing Loire Valley-inspired varieties like Gamay, Cabernet Franc and Picpoul Blanc, Trace is honoring the estate’s history while helping shape its next chapter. Using native fermentations and a restrained approach in the cellar, his goal is simple: let the character of the fruit and the land shine through.

Koehler Winery and Gouter Goods presents "Amongst the Olive Trees", a French Country Inspired Wine Tasting Experience.

Guests will enjoy an exclusive wine tasting served in hand-selected vintage stemware, a personal charcuterie accompaiment, and a private vintage shopping experience curated by Gouter Goods.

As a memento of the afternoon, each guest will take home a collection of four vintage wine glasses feautured during the tasting.

Tonight’s wine highlight is the 2023 Koehler Sangiovese from Sycamore Ranch in Ballard Canyon. Made from 100% Sangiovese and aged for 18 months, this wine brings bright cherry and red berry flavors with hints of dried herbs, spice, and earthiness. Fresh acidity and smooth tannins make it an easy wine to enjoy alongside pasta, pizza, or grilled meats.

Located near Los Olivos in the heart of Santa Barbara Wine Country, Koehler Winery has been family-owned for more than 27 years. The Koehler family personally manages its beautiful 40-acre property, using sustainable farming and winemaking practices to produce organically grown, small-batch wines that reflect the character of the Santa Ynez Valley.
