I spent a very long time dressed almost exclusively in black. 🖤

Black clothes. Black boots. Black everything. If it came in black, I probably owned it.

So honestly… becoming a beige mom isn’t that bad, considering where I came from. 😂

Somehow I’ve traded my all-black aesthetic for oatmeal, camel, cream, taupe and every colour that sounds like something you’d order at a fancy coffee shop.

Is it a phase? A lifestyle? A cry for help?

Who knows.

But considering my wardrobe history, I’d say beige is actually a pretty colourful development. 🤎

(And yes, that is a black cashmere-blend Sophie Shawl lurking in the corner. Some things never change.)

My finished #cottongrassjumper by @saskieco . Making this garment has been a passion project, combining one of my most favourite yarn brands Koigu AND designers @saskieco. Knitting this has also been an ode to these wonderful Canadian🇨🇦 businesses.

Under the sun, the cobalt blue almost glows flourescent. Paired with the soft blue-grey, the contrast really makes the pattern pop, even from afar!

I'm so happy with how this sweater turned out, and just in the time for fall.
