It’s SO easy to whisk and create that beautiful microfoam, giving you the silkiest, smoothest texture! 🤩🍵 🍵 Matcha Spotlight: @matchapan_ph — Okumidori 🌿 Aroma: Mildly sweet with a fresh, grassy aroma and a hint of nuttiness. 🌱 🍵 On its own: Gentle umami with nuttiness and slight bitterness, followed by sweet, delicate vegetal notes. 💚 🥛 Latte: Hints of roasted nuttiness and mild umami, with soft vegetal notes lingering at the finish. Adding agave helps balance the bitterness if you prefer a sweeter matcha latte! 🍯 🍃 Mouthfeel: Light bodied for me, smooth and creamy, with mild astringency. Overall, this is a very easy-to-drink matcha as a latte! 💚 Also, can we talk about the branding?! Hehe! Gurl, even with EXTRA ice, this matcha still HITS. 😮‍💨💚 Idk what it is about this brand, but their matcha is SO aromatic?! The moment I opened the pack, I was greeted with this sweet, dark chocolatey aroma. 🤎 btw, KUDOS AGAIN to this brand! 🤩👏 🍵 Matcha Spotlight: @focha.ph — Kosho (Saemidori) 🌿 Aroma: Sweet, roasted nuttiness & soft vegetal aroma 😋 🍵 On its own: Balanced umami, dark chocolatey bitterness, and roasted nuttiness, ending with a soft vegetal note. 🥛 Latte: Balanced umami & bitterness, roasted nuttiness, like a dark chocolatey vibes, with a balance of sweetness and a mildly vegetal finish. 🍃 Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied for me, it is smooth, no graininess with mild astringency. I personally prefer preparing this at a lower temperature, around 68°C upto 65°C. The upfront dark chocolatey vibes & balanced umami come through first, gradually giving way to sweetness and roasted nuttiness. 🤎 You can add agave if you prefer it sweeter, but I honestly enjoy this UNSWEETENED! 🍵 I also tried this with Nestlé Low Fat Milk, and yep, somehow, the milk didn’t overpower the matcha, which is a good thing! So, if you’re a dairy milk girly, especially if you prefer low-fat milk, this matcha can still hold its own. 💚 📝 My ratio: 🍃 4g matcha powder 💧 40g water 🥛 80g milk Just sharing my personal experience! Adding room-temperature water brings out that sweet corn aroma. 🌽 🍵 Koicha: Bold umami with buttery notes and hints of nuttiness, followed by a vegetal finish. 🥛 Latte: The bold umami hits first, then gently unfolds into hints of nuttiness that linger at the end. Adding sweetener gives it a sweet finish! 🍃 Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied for me, with mild astringency on the finish and a bit of graininess. ✨ Final thoughts: This matcha is a great option for syrups and creative drinks because its matcha flavor holds up even when paired with other ingredients! How’s the start of your month been? 🥹 Mine’s been kinda busy lately hehe 😅 but well, priorities! 😮‍💨💻 🍵 Matcha Spotlight: @naokimatcha_jp @naokimatcha — Roku Aroma: Sweet with a hint of roasted nuttiness, followed by a fresh, grassy aroma. Koicha: Bold umami with a slight saltiness upfront, then the nuttiness shines through, with a touch of bitterness and subtle vegetal notes. Latte: The umami is still there but much gentler! More nutty than vegetal, with subtle green notes and a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. Mouthfeel: Smooth and silky, with a bit of graininess and astringency, but nothing too bothersome! 🍃 Final thoughts: This could be your bestie for your daily matcha fix! Koicha: Umami-forward, sweet, with a light nuttiness and a bright, lively character as you sip from the bowl. Latte: Still holds onto that sweet, light nuttiness, with a dark chocolatey bitterness. It stays consistent with its bright and light matcha character even with milk. Mouthfeel: Light to medium-bodied for me, and SMOOTH. (You know I love a smooth matcha! 🤭) No graininess and barely any astringency. Wahhh! Can never go grumpy with this one 😅💚 🍵 Matcha Spotlight: @grumpymomtcha — Samidori Aroma: Opens up with a sweetcorn-like aroma 🌽 Koicha: The umami HITS you 😮‍💨, with soft, sweet edamame notes and a hint of roastedness. Latte: Rich umami, little to no bitterness, with a sweet, dark chocolatey character and a soft, nutty finish. + Sweetener: I like it as is! I didn’t really add any sweetener because, for me, it didn’t need it hehe. (SORRY 😮‍💨😅) Mouthfeel: Medium to full-bodied — this matcha really stayed on my palate for that long, gurl 😭 Smooth, creamy, velvety, with no astringency or graininess experienced. Smooth texture with just a small amount of bitterness, letting the umami linger a little bit longer throughout the sip. A subtle astringency that bring just enough character to leave a clean, crisp finish. 🍵 Latte Tenmyo and its umami-forward profile meshes seamlessly with the creamy nuttiness of oat milk.
