The countdown begins for the 5th edition of Art Anderlecht!

We warmly invite you to 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a three-day journey through the places, people, connections and collective energies that make Anderlecht’s art scene what it is.

Since 2022, Art Anderlecht has invited you to discover Anderlecht’s artistic initiatives from a different perspective, on foot or by bike, moving between the places, encounters, friendships and collaborations that make up its artistic ecosystem.

For this fifth edition, we’re looking beyond the places themselves, towards everything that happens between them: the connections that are made, the knowledge that circulates, the spaces that are shared, the collaborations that make projects possible, and the people who keep a scene alive.

Our 2026 programme takes these commons as a starting point. Expect exhibitions, workshops, performances, guided tours, gatherings, parties and plenty of opportunities to wander, discover, meet and celebrate together.

This year, we’ll be returning to some familiar places and discovering new ones: @atelier_bardaf @atelier_poiesis @brusselsartistrunnetwork @big_appple @gilbard.e.s @glasgow.studios @janitor.brussels @komplot_brussels @offf.centre @streetviewanderlecht @vroom.space @werkplaats_walter Brasseries Atlas

𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
11 — 12 — 13 September

Three days to wander a little, get lost in the side streets, discover what’s being made here and celebrate the people who make it possible.

The full programme is coming soon!

Offestival 2026 is a do-it-ourselves, artist-run festival celebrating Brussels’ independent art scene. It takes place over four weeks and five weekends in spring, from 15 May to 14 June 2026.

Initiated by Garage29, a space for emerging choreography renamed Metarage in 2025, Offestival has been organised since 2013 as a call to peer collectives to come and show together. It is now joined by Becue, a St Gilles bakery house and a collectively run space for art, social practice, and food.

The idea of Offestival is simple: to synchronize and mix the programmes of befriended artist-run spaces, collectives, and initiatives across all artistic disciplines and a wide range of activities, including performances, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, reading groups, dinners, conversations, parties, and who knows what else. Through shared communication and a spirit of collaboration, Offestival makes visible the richness of local, self-organized practices and makes them accessible to all.

Offestival 2026 brings together the following initiatives:

@anal_pompidou
@artistcommons_bxl
@brusselsartistrunnetwork
@becuebxl
@_vanhomwegen
@gilbard.e.s
JAN
@komplot_brussels
@metarage.bxl
@lesilesmardi
@sb34_org
@tashattot.collective

Offestival gives leverage to these interconnected communities and opens them to the public as places to gather, witness, imagine, and enjoy.

Save the date - 𝑴𝑶𝑻𝒉𝑺 - 17.04.2026

𝑴𝑶𝑻𝒉𝑺 is a nocturnal group exhibition presenting the artistic practices of Kim Farkas (1988, FR), Agata Ingarden (1994, PL), Minne Kersten (1993, NL), Vibeke Mascini (1989, NL), Mónica Mays (1990, ES), and Chantal van Rijt (1984, NL), curated by yours truly. Drawing from the French MOTS and ‘The Death of the Moth’ - two eponymous essays by Virginia Woolf and Annie Dillard - the exhibition approaches the moth as a literary metaphor for both transience and transformation, embodied in the tension between life and death at dusk. The moth symbolizes ecstatic self-sacrifice as a mirror of human resilience and artistic creation. Through themes of mourning and desire, the artists illuminate metamorphosis within the cycle of caterpillar to moth. The Chapel of Boondael thus becomes a giant cocoon in which these new voices take shape, further unfolding through a public programme before ultimately unfurling their wings and taking flight.

𝑴𝑶𝑻𝒉𝑺 is co-produced by Komplot @komplot_brussels and realized with the support of the municipality of Ixelles @kult.xl, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands @nlinbelgie and the Polish Institute Brussels @polishinstitutebrussels.

Documentation of Double Minutes 16 with Hrefna Hörn and Michael Van den Abeele.

@hrefnahorn
@important_fan

Thank you all for coming!

In this edition, Hrefna Hörn and Michael Van den Abeele focused their presentation around speculative notions of family through the lens of auto-fiction. Hrefna presented what she described as a “Sunday-couch version” of her latest performance, I Said It Because You Said It, sharing insights into her practice and the semi-fictional context that informs it. The presentation concluded with a musical piece that revealed the family living on her own toes.
Whilst Michael presented two texts exploring the idea of substitute families. The first examined the relationship between the Ramones, their genealogical tree, and the recurring presence of jeans --both within the band’s mythology and as a recurring motif in the artist’s own practice. Evergreens, meanwhile, was a text enumerating mothers and their varied existences or emotional projections.
Our gratitude goes to @komplot_brussels for hosting this edition.
