RE_FLEKT | Wearable Art II by @armin_najib co-curated by @maritaferro and @kawahpour_ at @doublejcollectivegallery…

One of the most beautiful things to witness was not just people looking at the work, but people taking the time to understand it…

There was curiosity in the room. Hands reaching out carefully. Conversations unfolding around form, weight, texture, and meaning. A moment of pause before a piece moved from being an object on display to something experienced on the body…

That transition fascinated me…

Watching people interact with Armin’s work reminded me that art doesn’t always end at observation. Sometimes it asks you to participate. To engage. To feel. To become part of the work itself.

The exhibition was filled with these small moments, the questions, smiles, discoveries, and connections between people and objects that only revealed themselves through interaction…

A beautiful evening celebrating curiosity, conversation, and the many ways art can be experienced…

“For all the places life chose to take me,
I’m grateful it led me right to you, made me see.
As someone who dreams in colours so bright,
I spent years in greys, fading soft into night.

I waited for moments, a space and a place,
To get lost in the chaos, in texture and grace.
With patterns that echo a piece of my soul,
Each shade telling stories that once felt untold.

And when His doors opened, steady and wide,
He silenced the storms I once held inside.
From A3 sheets to walls stretched afar,
He paved out a path like it’s written in stars.

Like this was the only way it could be,
A canvas unfolding the truest of me.

And here in this space, I’ve found something rare,
A family of misfits, all vibrant and fair.
So willing, so giving, with hearts open wide,
Standing together, whatever betide.

In laughter, in chaos, in moments unsure,
We hold one another, of this I am sure.
A blessing in people, in bonds strong and true,
This place feels like home—because of you.”

Couple of weeks into blank space, and the energy has been beautiful…

Curious minds walking in, conversations unfolding, people creating, observing, asking questions, staying longer than they planned to…

That’s the beauty of spaces like this they become alive because of the people inside them…

And we’re only getting started. Our doors are open for more conversations, more connection, and more moments of creating together in the weeks ahead…

Come say hiii…

We are @studiothirteen_dxb, we are at Warehouse 56...

This project was made possible with the support of @alserkalavenue...

A room full of conversations, stories, and strangers slowly becoming familiar.
Funny how when we start speaking honestly, the parts of us we kept “blocked out” begin to surface again.

Thanks to @koncept_42 for creating and hosting such a beautiful space for connection and conversation 💙

Syla
A little over a month ago when @rababtantawy created and curated SYLA as a website, little did we know then that SYLA would have a living , breathing wall of its own. And that too in @alserkalavenue of all the places.
Greatful and Humbled.
.
Come and support your local artists. You will find us in Warehouse 56 at Alserkal avenue. The place is a vibe of its own.

We always talk about trusting the process…
and now, we’re living it…

Stepping out of the familiar, out of the box,
into something temporary… but meaningful…

A new space, new energy, same people…
This is our time...

We are @studiothirteen_dxb, we are at Warehouse 56…

From the plaza to the elevators, these screens become little portals—carrying our pieces between floors and between worlds. Grateful for this collaboration and for the chance to see our work woven into the daily pathways of D3
