UNREAL to REALITY ...

THE FUTURE IS CANCELLED is a one-day full retrospective of the work of Scooter McCrae!

Presented in collaboration with Vinegar Syndrome and Saturn's Core, The Gap Theatre is screening SHATTER DEAD, SIXTEEN TONGUES, SAINT FRANKENSTEIN, and BLACK EYED SUSAN together, for anyone that can take it!

Sunday October 4th, 2pm to 8pm, get tix at the Gap Theatre website!

Scooter's films have meant alot to me going back to when there was only SHATTER DEAD, and he was *the main* madman that took me under his wing (shared his flask) when I was a lone 21 year old weirdo at Chiller over 25 years ago now. I couldn't be more proud than to be involved with this!

I honestly never thought we’d be churning out this many movies - though others will have to assess if that is a mark of quality - but I am very EXCITED to announce that principal photography has wrapped on BLACK EYED SUSAN, the new film from analog-auteur Scooter McCrae! Starring Damian Maffei and Yvonne Emilie Thälker, and shot entirely on 16mm, marking our third collaboration with Vinegar Syndrome, I can only describe this as ‘EX MACHINA for lovers’ - scored by maestro Fabio Frizzi of course! Check out Michael Gingold’s @ruemorguemag coverage - link in my link.tree! Thank you @tedgeoghegan for the excellent PR support!

NEW RELEASE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! The sophomore feature from innovative and visionary New York based video auteur Scooter McCrae (Shatter Dead), Sixteen Tongues is a transgressive, dystopian chamber piece that fuses cyberpunk imagery, psychosexual malaise, and austere surrealist delirium. Featuring Alice Liu (She Hate Me), Tina Krause (Limbo), and special makeup FX by Glenn Hetrick (The Hunger Games) & Paul Sutt (Watchmen, Van Helsing), Sixteen Tongues presents a bleak and futuristic vision unlike any other; a subversive and ambitious body-horror epic guaranteed to challenge even the boldest and most daring cinematic explorers. Saturn’s Core in collaboration with our friends at @ocn_distro and @vinegarsyndrome is proud to disseminate Sixteen Tongues in its first ever Blu-Ray incarnation, infused with a torrent of special features including the physical media debut of director Scooter McCrae’s newly transferred, early 16mm student films plus the HD premiere of his award winning 2015 short Saint Frankenstein; all with optional audio commentary and an isolated score by maestro Fabio Frizzi! The eye-catching slipcover designed by @moshunderpressure is limited to just 2,000 copies, so click the link in our bio to secure your copy today. #sixteentongues #saturnscoreaudioandvideo #bluray #bluraycollection #bluraycollector #scootermccrae #nyc #sov #shotonvideo #horror #horrormovies #gore #splatter #cult #vhs #vhstapes #vhshorror #horrorvhs #video #analog #vcr #saturnscore #partnerlabel #vinegarsyndrome #blu #blurays #horrorbluray #90shorror #ocndistribution #physicalmedia

🩸V/H/S🩸

Need a scary movie night?!

If you haven’t seen it yet, go check out this epic horror anthology NOW on Amazon Prime for a bloody good time (& to see young, goofy @drewmoerlein )!

This was my first feature film & what a ride it was! I was grateful to go to Sundance for the second year in a row & none of us could have anticipated the splash V/H/S would make at the midnight screening... multiple people passed out or got sick 🤣🤢
