September, you were a lot. In a good way.

The desert, Sault Ste. Marie, Ottawa, helping folks who were raising money for kids in Haiti and the Rick Hansen Foundation, celebrating some of Canada’s great songwriters, working on some new stuff, taking a few pictures along the way, shooting a PSA and hanging out with some pretty amazing educators.

A lot of miles, a lot of good people and a lot happening behind the scenes. Not a bad way to spend a month.

It feels trite to try to sum up what it’s like to be fortunate enough to work @milanocortina2026 for @cbcolympics - a lifelong dream, and an assignment that requires every ounce of your physical and mental endurance and emotional intelligence. You never know what working an Olympics will be like until you do it. You meet new people, spend every waking hour with them, and do everything in your power to do the best job possible. It’s pure adrenaline for over 20 days straight and every day is incredibly different. It requires grit and great teammates - the kind that powers you through 3 hours of sleep to make sure you’re able to cover different events and interview different athletes. As broadcasters, we are the vehicle to highlight and tell the stories of the athletes who are performing on the biggest stage of their lives. They embody the qualities of all of us - what we aspire to be, and what we know is authentic and real emotions when things do or don’t go our way. I have the utmost empathy and respect for all athletes.

Most importantly, I want to thank @sheralinajak and @yorkattack for inviting me back to the @cbcolympics team. I’ve now had the fortunate opportunity of working for @cbc Paris 2024 in studio and Milan 2026 on the ground, and both experiences couldn’t be more different- one glamorous and one gritty - experience I could only dream to have, and am a better person and broadcaster because of it. Thank you for trusting me and including me in your team.

Our fearless leader @julia_ludol managed all our content and assignments and we’d be nowhere without her. Thank you for doing everything with a smile on your face, can’t wait to see you as IOC president.

My nightly update co-host and videographer extraordinaire @christophervo__ - thank you for your high quality work, being able to trust you with anything and most importantly spending every waking hour with me and still laughing everyday. Thanks for letting me document everything on IG (superstar).

It was a pleasure and privilege to cover @teamcanada - in the highest or lowest moments of your life you handled everything with poise and grace. You make me proud to be Canadian.

Grazie Mille 🇮🇹

Les Jeux olympiques c’est un beau trip de gang. Amener un.e athlète devant le kodak ça se fait en équipe. On travaille fort.

A presto, m’en vais me coucher pis penser à autre chose que mes carwash!! 🇮🇹
