POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Arrived back to San Francisco to my old home and some beautiful pre-burn nostalgia and memories. I sat with the guestbook that @kosherwithoutk so thoughtfully provided not knowing then how many memories would have occurred over the next 9 years. It has been an absolute honor to steward this incredible spaceship since then for so many shared experiences and opportunities for growth and peace for so many. I am sharing a few of the memories here. Note that this fall I'll hopefully be selling this space, god willing, to another human who has the capacity to steward its path forward with care. If you or someone you know would like this opportunity, please do get in touch. I am so grateful for the opportunities that 1 Enterprise has provided for us all. Special mention to @sliceofdill @lstockhausen @sasha.baibarin and @fnnch for keeping it in great shape while I've been diving into this new chapter in Berlin. Also, to everyone who comes into special spaces and leaves them better than we found them. Small differences and attention to detail make the world a better place for all of us.

Some news lands heavier than words know how to carry.

Many of you will already have heard the heartbreaking news about our dear friend Nico Stojan. @nico_stojan

Nico wasn’t just part of our community. He helped shape its soundtrack. For so many of us, Temple Burn, our family night, will always feel like Nico. Those sets became ritual. A place to gather, to reflect, to hold one another, and to remember why we come home to this strange, beautiful family every year.

Then there was Lovestruckk.

Nico and Holmar. An indomitable duo. They gave us some of the most iconic musical journeys we’ve ever shared. Playful, soulful, joyful. Music that made time disappear.

Nico carried an extraordinary lightness through the world. Pure. Bright. Funny. Humble to his core. One of the finest musicologists many of us have ever known.

So much life.

We’ll miss him forever.

We can only hope you’re somewhere beyond the horizon, where the music never ends and every sunrise is more beautiful than the last.

But none of us should feel any urgency to join you.

You’ve got all the time in the world. You’re an endurance bunny. Keep the dancefloor warm until it’s each of our own time to arrive.

Until then, we’ll honour you the way you’d probably want us to: by looking after one another, losing ourselves in the music, laughing often, dancing hard, and never forgetting how precious this fleeting life really is.

Thank you for every sunrise.
Thank you for every Temple Burn.
Thank you for every dance.
Thank you for your generosity, your humility, your joy, and your beautiful heart.

We’ll carry you with us, always.

🤍

Had the most profoundly beautiful and fun and heart-filling week-long sail on a catamaran through Sicily’s Aeolian Islands in a flotilla of 13 boats of close friends. Palermo > Filicudi > Salina > Stromboli > Lipari > Palermo. I will celebrate you every decade @6ft3md @alexanderlis333 thank you for this epic adventure! Most of the best pics were never taken. First time away from my bebe and it filled my soul and made coming home so so very sweet🐬🌞🥂❣️

Six years ago, after the untimely passing of (another) living legend- Dan Fredinburg- I said a very last minute yes to an invite to visit the future. What took place there- namely an 18 hour nonstop dance on top of a container- forever altered my life. I have found a sunrise home on #burningman playa, a safe place to explore unsafe places. Soulmates found on dusty floor-less dance floors, had me feel seen through times I could not see myself, and the Californians of them made me feel welcome to leave my NYC life in pursuit of a job in SF and one special robot opened his door for me stay here after said job opportunity wrapped. It was here in California I have found my calling, and I get to touch countless lives serving it.
Whether some of these encounters and happenings that followed were meant to happen whichever way, that 18 hour container-top dance had certainly catalyzed and amplified everything that followed.
I am and forever will be grateful to George, Gary, Justin, Swamy, Torti, Dill, Rocketman, Christian and the entire #RobotHeart family- whom are far too many to acknowledge by name. Ting- I am so so so very sorry for your loss. May you and your children and the Robot Heart family and friends at large be as well as can be. 🤖💔
