We had the pleasure of representing @kovesanctuary in Donald Bradley’s #wimhofmethod course. An absolute must for ice immersion enthusiasts. Highly recommend! ❄️ @ice_whistler ❄️

a little psychology, a little science, a lot of atlantic ocean 🌊

last week I joined @cbc The Signal + the team from @kovesanctuary for an hour-long conversation about fall wellness: sauna culture, cold immersion, community, our nervous systems & the psychology of living well.

and maybe my favourite thread of the conversation: how place shapes the way we live, connect & feel well.. especially here on an island in the middle of the North Atlantic ♡

🔥 Last week I had the absolute privilege of training as a Sauna Master with the incredible @jesseinferno_ of @thesaunacorner.

If you've ever had the good fortune to meet Jesse, you'll know what a gift it is to learn from someone who brings so much passion, knowledge, and heart to their craft.

For those wondering what a guided sauna session actually is, it's so much more than simply sitting in the heat. Through the use of heat, steam (löyly), breathwork, aromatics, mindful awareness, and sensory techniques, a Sauna Master creates a restorative experience designed to calm the mind, relax the body, and reconnect you with yourself.

The goal is simple: to leave feeling lighter, clearer, more grounded, and deeply refreshed.

To my sauna squad: thank you for the laughs, the support, the shared learning, and the memories. What a special group of people to train alongside. I can't wait to see where this journey takes us all.

🔥 See you on the benches.

Capturing two and a half days of intense training into a 90 second video is never an easy task - yet the intention is to create a short ode to a group of wonderful people who showed up authentically and held a beautiful space together.

Whilst it isn’t possible to include a lot of footage, what is captured is a moment in time which encapsulates a whole experience for those present. It’s a snapshot of a transformative process, a tiny insight into a blossoming potential, and a flash of joy which unlocks the memory of those days together.

Those who join us for training often comment afterwards that finding this work changed their life and it’s a really huge honour to be opening up new doors that may change lives, it really is.

Thank you deeply to those who join us in this work of guided sauna and its deeply therapeutic and healing nature.

What a week - thank you June 🙏🏽 I traveled to London to train with @jesseinferno_ of @thesaunacorner at the beautiful @urbanheatsauna in Camberwell. I can’t put into words how incredible it was to learn how to work deeply with the heat and spirit of the Sauna, the transformation and growth, the holding and support is something I can not wait to be able to bring to my work.
And then on to work with my magic bestie @nurturingfolk at the gorgeous @biddenden_house offering support through space holding, massage and reiki. It always blows my mind to see the willingness of those who come to retreat to give themselves space and freedom to rest. If you haven’t worked with Ali, you’re missing out…simples.
Looking forward to the next steps…watch this space 🔥✨

Sweating with gratitude and smiling from ear to ear. The knowledge and expertise that @jesseinferno_ has passed on about all things sauna culture has been an unbelievable blessing. I cannot thank @thesaunacorner enough. Shoutout to my fellow classmates who made this journey an absolute pleasure to be a part of. Such a warm welcome to us Canadians coming into the fold! Once @kovesanctuary becomes fully operational I cannot wait to get you all across the pond and teach some classes!! Be well sauna masters! See you on the next one! 🔥❄️ #thesaunacorner #saunamaster

🦪 BIG NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT 📣 !!
•
With the help of some incredible and passionate people we’re building a ‘Wellness Sanctuary’ located in the east end of St. John’s, Newfoundland!
•
I’ve been hard at work for the last two years cultivating and recruiting like-minded individuals to make this dream become a reality!
•
After the death of my mother and the birth of my son I wanted to create a space where people could come together, that was both beneficial to the mind and the body. Watching cancer take over my mother and the wonder of my son being born- life becomes something else entirely.
•
So. What is it? We’re officially called KOVE.
•
KOVE is a wellness sanctuary designed to reconnect you with your 𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚, 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 and 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚. Our offerings blend restorative experiences — from sauna and ice immersion to massage, physiotherapy, and mindful practices — with intentional spaces that support presence, resilience, and renewal. KOVE is place to pause, restore, and move in rhythm with yourself and the natural world!
•
I’ll be posting more about the process in the coming months! With giveaways and events leading up to a grand opening later this year!
•
Follow along and take part in this journey together at @kovesanctuary and don’t forget to check out our website! Link in bio
