IN FRAME: Jekyll & Hyde 🎭

This Jekyll & Hyde has been such a fun opportunity to work alongside @theaterwestend , lending an extra set of eyes, ears, and creative hands to the movement onstage. From cleaning formations in “Murder, Murder” and helping shape the energy of “Facade” to staging a little waltz for the engagement party, every detail became another chance to tell the story through movement.

And, of course, “Bring On the Men.” The number that started it all. ❤️‍🔥 Building the red-hot world of the club, playing with the levels of the set, and working with @aaliyah.amarante and the incredible red rats made this one especially memorable.

Wow this is my first non opera related post on this account! I called this account OperaAndShit for a reason and this would be the “and shit” portion. Sometimes I think I do want to share some of life outside of my opera obsession ya know? Anyway, I’m just reflecting on the month of September and it was a super healing month for me. I was very lucky to spend a lot of time with a lot of people who I love and admire and I laughed uncontrollably nearly every day of the month. I got to celebrate one of my best friend’s bachelorette weekend in update NY with the most idiotic, rotted, fabulous group of girls and gays and I actually had the best time. I got to spend a lot of time with my mom who is an actual earth angel and the most hilarious woman on the planet. I got to see a lot of other people who I miss dearly. Just feeling very grateful for September of 2026. I wish I took more pictures over the course of the month but here is a drop of just a few moments. All love ♥️

I am so excited to announce my next musical production! My first, of hopefully many, show(s) with The Shoestring theater and I couldn’t have asked for a better show to begin! 💚✨

I’ll be stepping into the role of Chiffon, one of the fabulous Urchins, alongside our egregiously talented cast. 🤩

I cannot wait to continue working on this incredible show with such talented people and can’t wait to share it all with you this November! Tickets are available now so don’t be shy—step right up and come see what’s growing on skid row 🌱

Audrey first. Seymour next.

For Audrey, I wanted to motivate the often exaggerated accent and voice and her obsession with the American dream. So for me she’s a Chinese immigrant trying desperately to assimilate into 1950s America, so her look is her idea of the perfect American woman—heels, handbag, hair, glamour—but it’s all slightly falling apart.

For Seymour, I wanted OUT of the Poindexter shirt-and-bow-tie nerd trope. 😂 I imagined almost everything he owns is an old Mushnik hand me down: oversized trousers, patched turtleneck, worn shoes. Even his apron is too small, like he’s had it since childhood the last time Mushnik cared enough to buy him something new.

And also so many fellas volunteered to be my Seymour reference that… why choose one? 😂

Wow. What a joy it has been. I’ve played this role several times, but this one was SPECIAL.

An applause or standing ovation doesn’t equate to the amazing people I met and shared the stage with every night.
