💔 WE NEED YOUR HELP TO GET BACK ON TRACK! ♿️

Unfortunately, both of our large printers that we use to make our Toddler Mobility Wheelchairs have broken down. We’re now facing the unexpected cost of repairing or replacing them, and it’s putting our mission on hold.

We currently have a new wheelchair to make for a child who needs it. I just ordered the filament to get started, and then our printers broke down. Talk about a setback! 💔

Our goal is to raise approximately $1,300 to help us replace one of our printers with a high-quality Bambu Lab H-series printer. Getting this printer up and running would help us get back to printing wheelchairs and putting them in the hands of the children who need them. ❤️

Every dollar brings us one step closer to getting back to work. If you can donate, we would be incredibly grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing this post helps more than you know! 🙏

❤️ EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

💚 Donate via Venmo:

💚 Donate via Cash App:

To everyone who has donated to Make a Wheelchair, shared our posts, or supported our mission in any way, THANK YOU! You have helped us change lives, one wheelchair at a time, and we can’t express how much that means to us.

We’re not giving up on these kids. We just need a little help getting back on our feet so we can keep moving forward! 💪♿️

Help us get back to making wheelchairs for the kids who need them! Every donation and every share brings us closer to our goal. ❤️

Yesterday was a BIG day for us at TJBIN3D❤️

Isla, from the “QC Department,” and I loaded up and delivered our 6th wheelchair to a very special little girl named Taylor! 🦽💗💜

Taylor has been waiting for her custom wheelchair, and yesterday we finally got to see her get her very own chair. We made hers in beautiful pink and purple pastel colors, and we were able to make it extra special with some awesome accessories!

A HUGE shoutout to The Freckled Frog in Chesterfield/Midlothian! 🐸❤️ They didn’t just help make Taylor’s wheelchair possible — they put up the money to cover her entire wheelchair AND all of the extra accessories that made her chair uniquely hers. That kind of generosity means the world to us and, more importantly, to Taylor and her family.

This was our 6th wheelchair delivery, and getting to be there in person to see Taylor with her new chair was something we’ll never forget. 🥹❤️

6 down. So many more to go. 🦽

Thank you to everyone who continues to support what we’re doing and helps us put these chairs into the hands of kids who need them. ❤️

Good evening, everyone! ❤️

Sorry we haven’t posted in a while! We’ve been extremely busy behind the scenes, but we haven’t stopped making wheelchairs!

We recently purchased another 3D printing business, Printalicious — you can find Shop Printalicious on TikTok. We’re transitioning it into PrintWorks 3D Creations LLC, while also working toward turning TJB in 3D into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

So yes… we’ve been BUSY! 😂

But this is what we’ve been working on.

Meet Taylor, a sweet little girl from Chesterfield, Virginia. ❤️

Taylor was born in September 2022 and began having unexplained seizures at just 8 hours old. Over the next 36 hours, she experienced approximately 50 more seizures and spent 20 days receiving care in the NICU at St. Mary’s Hospital in Richmond.

Since then, Taylor has worked incredibly hard in PT and OT toward independence. Her family says she loves Ms. Rachel, music, laughing and smiling. She’s their little CP warrior princess, and they know she’s going to do great things! 👑❤️

We are honored to be a small part of her journey.

A HUGE thank-you to The Freckled Frog in Chesterfield! They didn’t hesitate to donate the funds for Taylor’s wheelchair and then went above and beyond with additional funds to give her the complete package.

And this girl is DECKED OUT! 😂

🧺 Storage bin
🍽️ Table
🥤 Cup holder
📱 Communications tablet
🪑 Foaming TPU seat cushions
❤️ And plenty more!

Taylor has the Mercedes-Benz of wheelchairs! 😂❤️

Another HUGE thank-you to Hyperlok from Kemp Prototyping and Design for helping make this build possible!

This is why we do what we do. These aren’t just 3D-printed parts — they’re opportunities for independence, exploration, communication, and simply being a kid.

Taylor, we hope you LOVE your new ride! 👑❤️

To The Freckled Frog, Hyperlok, Kemp Prototyping and Design, and everyone who supports us — THANK YOU!

We may have been quiet, but we’ve been busy. And we’re just getting started!

Stay healthy and stay blessed! ❤️

Today was one of those days that reminds me exactly why we do what we do. ❤️

The look on James Henry’s face when he saw his wheelchair for the first time was absolutely priceless. But seeing the look on his family’s faces when he sat down, started clapping, and then started moving himself in his new chair… there are honestly no words for it. 🥹❤️

It’s little moments like this, and little guys like James Henry, that make every single hour worth it.

All the hours spent printing.
All the miles driven.
All the gas.
All the wear and tear on our vehicles making these deliveries.

None of it compares to the joy I feel when I get to see a family’s life changed right in front of me.

James Henry and family, it was an absolute pleasure meeting you today. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of this special moment. Huge shout out to @jaxwaxculpeper they did not hesitate to donate the funds for materials for this build Chris and Nicole are two of the most giving people I’ve ever met and i pray many blessings come their way!

If you guys ever need anything and I can help, you know who to ask. I truly hope we get to stay friends for a very, very long time. ❤️

This is why we do it. 🦽❤️

🚨 BIG SHOUT OUT! 🚨

We want to give a HUGE thank-you to Burkeville Body Shop, Hyperlok, and our very own CQ Department, Isla! ❤️

Burkeville Body Shop sponsored the funds for the materials needed to build Kaiden’s wheelchair.

Hyperlok sponsored the Hyperlok, 3D printing bed adhesive, and some much-needed printer maintenance items. We truly appreciate the support!

And then there’s Isla, our very own Quality Control Department. 😂 She makes sure every wheelchair works properly before we send it out.

Kaiden’s wheelchair is Bluey and carbon-fiber themed! 💙🐾 The wheels and his name feature a carbon-fiber pattern because Kaiden absolutely LOVES cars. 🚗

Isla tested the chair out, and we’re happy to announce:

✅ IT PASSES CQ! ✅

This week, we’re going to deliver Kaiden’s chair to him, and we cannot wait to see him rolling around in it! 🥹💙

A huge thank-you to everyone who continues to support us and helps us get these wheelchairs into the hands of kids who need them. This truly is a community effort! ❤️

Taylor’s wheelchair is officially underway! 💜💙 Here are a few updates on the build process and some BIG shout-outs!

First and foremost, HUGE shout-out to The Freckled Frog! 🐸❤️ Thank you for supporting this build and helping make Taylor’s wheelchair possible!

The Freckled Frog

North Chesterfield, VA 23235
📞 804-379-1200

They specialize in Amish-made poly outdoor furniture, patio umbrellas, gifts, and accessories. Please go show them some love and support the businesses that support what we’re doing!

🔥 HUGE shout-out to Comgrow TPU filament! I have not had ONE issue. Not one failed print. This stuff has been absolutely incredible to work with, and it is officially my go-to TPU from here on out!

Also, a massive THANK YOU to KPD and HyperLok! HyperLok is a high-temperature 3D printing bed adhesive, and it has helped us dial in our adhesion issues and keep these prints running reliably.

And of course, THANK YOU MakeGood for making all of this possible. Without MakeGood, these wheelchairs wouldn’t be happening. ❤️

🛠️ BUILD UPDATES

Taylor’s wheelchair is underway! We’re making great progress, and I’ll continue sharing updates throughout the build.

Kaiden’s wheelchair is DONE! 🎉 The only thing left is printing the two little Bluey characters. Those should be finished within the next day or two!

Hopefully, we’ll be delivering Kaiden’s and James Henry’s chairs this weekend! 🙌

And finally, a BIG HUGE shout-out to Bruce’s Collision in Dillwyn, Virginia! Bruce and Kay were able to acquire us a vehicle, and I seriously owe you guys BIG TIME.

As Bruce said, “This is what friends are for.” ❤️

That’s what having good friends is all about. Love you guys, and whatever you need, you already know who to call.

One print. One part. One chair at a time. 💙

🐸💜 HUGE SHOUT OUT TO THE FRECKLED FROG! 💜🐸

I am beyond excited to announce that The Freckled Frog, located at 10747 Midlothian Turnpike in North Chesterfield, Virginia, has stepped up to sponsor Taylor’s Toddler Mobility Wheelchair! 🙌❤️

The Freckled Frog specializes in premium Amish outdoor poly furniture, and they are an absolutely amazing husband-and-wife team — or should I say wife-and-husband team! 😂 The wife runs the show, and the husband says he works for her for free… because that’s what a good husband does! 😂❤️

They were the FIRST business I called, and they didn’t hesitate to help. They even went above and beyond by providing extra funding so we can make Taylor’s chair completely custom to her!

Taylor’s chair will feature purple and pink, with a pastel gradient theme for her accessories. We’re also giving her a full bucket seat made from TPU Air, a foaming TPU material, for superior comfort and support.

I am SO excited to get this build underway! 💜

If you’re in the Richmond/North Chesterfield area, definitely go check out The Freckled Frog for some beautiful Amish-built outdoor poly furniture!

Today, we delivered Paloma’s wheelchair. ❤️

Paloma is just two years old and has already endured more than any child should have to. After multiple hip surgeries and recently losing her right leg at the knee, she now has something incredibly important: mobility and independence.

There are more than 2 million children around the world who need a mobility device but can’t access one. Today, that number dropped by one special little girl.

This build came with struggles, setbacks, and donations and resources that didn’t come through as we had hoped. But every struggle made this moment even more meaningful.

To every maker building these chairs: if you’re struggling, running into problems, or thinking about giving up — DON’T. Keep going. The moment you see a child realize they can move independently makes every bit of it worth it.

Seeing the tears in Paloma’s parents’ eyes told us everything. We were honored to fund and build this chair, and even more honored to give Paloma a little more freedom to explore her world.

And a very special thank-you to my mom for driving across multiple states with me when she absolutely didn’t have to.

But you did, Mom. And I appreciate you more than you know.

Paloma, we hope this chair takes you everywhere you want to go. 💙

One chair. One child. One life changed.

And we’re just getting started.
