A huge THANK YOU for all the lovely words I’ve heard! 🙂
I heard that some people got goosebumps, some shed a tear, and others enjoyed the touch of humor... 🙂
After nine months of planning and working to put together my program "Welcome to Natureland"—sorting through thousands of photos, late nights, and quite a few boxes of wine—it was finally done! And the response was wonderful! My heart is full.
A huge THANK YOU to the Jakobstad Photo Club for a fantastic photo festival, and a huge THANK YOU for trusting and honoring me to represent the event and showcase my images there.
It was a truly inspiring and rewarding day spent with other wonderful photographers. And a huge THANK YOU to EVERYONE who came to watch and listen; without you, it wouldn't have been such a lovely and enjoyable day!

A heartfelt thanks to our valued supporter @jotunturkiye and all our guests for bringing this special culinary experience to life at one of the highlights of the 9th edition of 212 Photography Istanbul, Colours of Scandinavia.

We’d also like to thank chef @mkarstad for this incredible menu, as well as @jotunturkiye and @foodprojectistanbul for making it such an amazing night.

The photographers who made this night unforgettable: @hansstrandofficial @kpunkk @einaraslaksen @jirihavran @kafpetersen @hisdal @jenslasthein @helenablomqvistvisualartist

Spanning three floors, the exhibition’s second floor turns from the environment to people and the relationships formed within and around different spaces. Titled “Us!”, this section explores intimacy, labour, belonging and the social texture of everyday life through diverse photographic practices.

From Anders Petersen’s iconic Café Lehmitz series to Lars Tunbjörk’s colour photographs capturing the absurdity and social unease of everyday life; from Jens Olof Lasthein’s panoramic images of border regions and post-war communities to Sune Sundahl’s archive documenting Sweden’s modern architectural heritage, the selection reveals the layered relationship between the individual and society. The approaches of @hisdal and Julia Hetta, moving between portraiture, fashion and still life, bring a more personal and intuitive dimension to the narrative.

Together, these works consider photography not simply as a form of documentation, but as a way of looking at the connections people form with one another, the spaces they inhabit and the texture of everyday life.

With the support of @jotunturkiye

These Horned Puffins, Parakeet Auklets, a Red-faced Cormorant and a Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch were all photographed on St. Paul Island, one of the Pribilof Islands far out in the Bering Sea.

Each summer, the island’s sea cliffs fill with nesting seabirds. The puffin with a beak full of fish is likely heading back to a chick, since puffins carry several fish at once when feeding their young.

This sea otter was floating on its back with its paws held clear of the water off Alaska’s Inian Islands.

Its paws have far less fur than the rest of its body, and water pulls heat away about 25 times faster than air, so lifting them out limits how much warmth escapes.

The rest of the body is covered in the densest fur of any mammal, up to about 155,000 hairs per square centimeter (1 million per square inch), which traps a layer of air against the skin. Unlike seals and whales, sea otters have no blubber, so that trapped air is what keeps them warm.
