Greetings friends!
It’s a #filterFriday 2-fer!!
Today’s offerings I made to promote @odditiesfleamarket in NYC on Dec 10th, 2022.

The first is the Oddities Specimen jars filter, which are indicative of the kinds of finds you’d stumble across at the @OdditiesFleaMarket. The 3D objects were modeled in @maxonvfx
#Cinema4D
and @nomadsculpt. The music is a theremin piece also by yours truly. This filter is one of the more complex ones I’ve made to date, and also the weirdest! This is definitely one of those ideas I’m glad I was a mental enough to follow through on. Sleep be damned! Tag me and the Oddities Flea Market if you’re sharing!

The second in our lil filter menagerie is an AR version of the @rarebitproductions Live Spirit Photography Parlor. What the heck am I talking about?
@rcallahanphoto and I will be at the Oddities Flea Market shooting spirits that haunt unsuspecting guests, using our patented* method that combines the 19th century Pepper’s Ghost technique with modern digital photography. There may be some conjuring involved as well. I’m also providing the theremin scare-emin for your listening dis-pleasure.
Come on by the @OdditiesFleaMarket in Manhattan Dec10th and see for yourself. Or just use the filter. You’ll be haunted either way. Hahahahahahaha

Shout outs to our ghostests with the toastests:
@mister__burton

@mizcandymann

and EXTRA SPOOKY THANKS to @ryanmatthewcohn & @reginamariecohn from the Oddities Flea Mkt for having us!

$#FilterFriday @burgerking Backrooms AR experience Greetings friends!
As you may know, for the past couple years I’ve made some AR filters. Now, I’ve shared a few from time to time, but today starts my reoccurring series #FilterFridays, where I showcase work from the past, and drop new ones. To kick it off, let’s go back a few months when we were tasked to help bring to life an odd little campaign for Burger King (one of our clients at Dentsu {formerly 360i}) called WHAT THE FANTA (code name Burger King Backrooms). The point was to find a fun way to reveal a new @fanta Strawberry Shortcake flavor in a way that made the user question sanity (both theirs and ours), and the art and copy monsters that came up with the idea nailed it! I still can’t believe the client signed off on this strange behemoth. Oh and if you haven’t heard of ye ol’ Backrooms internet phenomenon, be sure to look it up. We (creative technologist @jain_sukratti and myself in the Motion Design department I currently lead) were tasked to make a 3-part video that takes the user through the familiar empty office maze, fully realized in 3D and populated with cryptic clues that would either drive the viewer to the brink of madness trying to figure it out. We were also tasked with making a fully immersive AR version for Instagram that the user should wander around. We knew we would be pushing boundaries with this endeavor, both in Instagram’s functionalities and our own, but that made it all the more exciting!
Using my animated version as a launching point for look consistency, Sukratti built (I assisted and directed) an immersive office space that the user could explore, and populated it with the same cryptic clues. A green herring, green straws, a cake knife, and creepy poetry adorn the space. It’s silly and clunky and probably shouldn’t exist but it does so check it out!! It’s in the filters section of the @burgerking account (the little sparkle button). CONTINUED IN THE COMMENTS CUZ THE TALE IS TOO EPIC! @dentsucreativeus
#sparkcreators @sparkarcreators @lens.list #sparkar #backrooms #augmentedrealitysilliness #whathavewedone$
