A New Orleans-inspired Social Aid and Pleasure Club in Richmond, VA. COME BE FUN WITH US!

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Richmonders broke out the blonde wigs, cowboy boots, and plenty of pink for the first Dolly Parton Parade today. Richmond photographer @rvaphotog was there to capture the inaugural celebration of the Queen of Country as it made its way through Carytown. Organized by @crystal.blue.persuasion, the gathering brought together Dolly devotees for an afternoon celebrating the music, generosity, and spirit of Dolly Parton.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️‼️ANNOUNCING‼️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Our biggest, most impactful RADICAL RVA PRIDE Sponsor:

It’s you.

We’re not looking to big corporations or massive industries that, time and time again have proven to be the largest contributors to the very things that hurt our community.

We aren’t depending on T🎯rget or Dom🔋nion or big banks to tell us if or how we can celebrate who we are together.

But, if our beloved supporters and friends give a few bucks each, we can make Radical Pride something beautiful, magical, and truly queer.

We’ve said it before and we’ll continue to say it: we’ll never be as gigantic or fancy as large-scale festivals, BUT we will continue to listen to our community to make BGM events as inclusive, accessible, and joyful as we can.

Please 🙏 be a part of making Rad RVA happen. Head to our website, or 🔗 in our bio to be a Rad RVA sponsor today.

And be sure to join us Sept. 5th, 12-6pm @ the Carillon & First UU for RAD PRIDE!

It’s very hottt as we step into the month of July here in RVA and we’re remembering another HOT day last month — albeit a tad more bearable than today’s scorching temps 🔥☀️

Thanks to the many beautiful humans who helped make up our very first Big GAY parade at our Pride month market!

We feel so grateful and proud to be in community with so many amazing queer and ally folks.

The Big GAY Market truly is a BIG undertaking each and every month, but we’re an extremely small org with a teeny budget. We do our best to make our events fun, accessible, and engaging — however, we acknowledge they aren’t as flashy as larger-scale events. And, this is by design.

We are not corporate gays over here.
We’re queers doing our best to work towards the type of future we long for and deserve.
Our efforts are fueled by our friends, allies, and supporters showing up.

And, our biggest nourishment is you.
Please keep showing up. Laugh with us. Be silly with us. Be celebrated alongside us.

It may be a long hot July ahead of us, but LGBTQ+ Pride doesn’t end in June, it’s ALL YEAR!

See you soon! July 31st, 7-10pm for our GLOW NIGHT market ✨

Stay safe in this heat!

Huge thanks to @lookbookbykp for capturing this incredible photo!
