We’re so honored to welcome @maineprairiestudio as a partner of @storyfeastcollective Minneapolis.

Ceramicists @meganraejorgenson and @jdjraejorgenson are creating the serviceware for our long table harvest feast at the @weismanartmuseum on Oct. 24th. That includes whiskey cups, water tumblers, vases, serving vessels, dinnerware, and every other beautiful thing that graces our table. They’ve worked alongside chefs Mateo and Erin Mackbee to understand each dish, so every vessel is made for what it will hold. The result is a table transformed into an art gallery, a dreamscape stitched with the story of Minnesota.

Maine Prairie Studio is Megan and JD’s pottery studio and home in Kimball, Minnesota. JD trained at The Saint John’s Pottery, apprenticing under master potter Richard Bresnahan and that lineage of craft lives in every piece they make. Their mission is to nurture creativity and elevate the ceramic arts through community education for rural Minnesotans. They welcome artists at every stage through apprenticeships, internships, and residencies. You can learn from them too, through pottery classes for all levels, from first-time “Come Try It” sessions to summer intensives.

For this feast, they’ve created something new: The Harvest Dinner Set, a Story Feast place setting you can preorder in one of 13 glazes and take home with you the night of the event. You’ll find the link and more details on our ticket page. And every guest will go home with a special gift from Megan and JD, which we’re keeping a surprise until the night. Megan and JD will join us for our dinner so be sure to say hello.

We’re honored to gather at the @weismanartmuseum for @storyfeastcollective Minneapolis, our long-table harvest feast on October 24.

Perched on a bluff above the Mississippi River on the University of Minnesota campus, the Weisman is one of the most recognizable buildings in the state. Its home was designed by the late Frank Gehry, the Pritzker Prize-winning architect whose imagination reshaped what buildings could be. Opened in 1993, its stainless steel façade folds and shimmers like the river cliffs below. The Weisman was the first building where Gehry used the curving, metal-clad forms that would make him famous around the world, four years before his Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. Gehry returned nearly twenty years later to expand it, adding new galleries to a museum whose collection now holds more than 30,000 works of art.

On the evening of the feast, our guests will have exclusive access to the galleries, a rare chance to wander through Gehry’s light-filled rooms after hours.

This is exactly what this evening is all about. Only a few seats remain. Your ticket includes:

- A cocktail hour to begin the evening
- All alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- A five-course harvest feast from James Beard-nominated chef Mateo Mackbee of @krewerestaurant and Erin Mackbee of @flourandflowerbakery, named by The New York Times one of the best bakeries in America. Both restaurants were recently called “Minnesota’s Most Vital Restaurants” by the @startribune.

We’re honored to welcome @milkandhoneyciders as a partner of @storyfeastcollective Minneapolis. Their cider will be poured at our long-table harvest feast at the @weismanartmuseum on October 24.

Milk & Honey Ciders began with three childhood friends from Central Minnesota who believed cider deserved a place at the American table again. From their farmhouse cidery and orchard in the rolling hills of Central Minnesota, they make dry, aromatic ciders from heirloom and traditional cider apples, with a light hand that lets the fruit and the land speak. Their care for the craft earned them USA Today’s title of Best Cidery in the nation.

Only a few seats remain. Your ticket includes:

- A cocktail hour to begin the evening
- All alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cider from Milk & Honey

Every feast has a story. These are the people telling ours.

Story Feast Minneapolis is a community effort and Minnesota’s food and beverage culture is really something special. It’s rooted in our water & land, it’s generous, inventive & built on showing up for one another.

We’re so honored at @storyfeastcollective to bring so many of the state’s makers together for a harvest feast at the @weismanartmuseum overlooking the Mississippi in a museum that celebrates Minnesota’s creativity & ingenuity.

At the heart of it are Mateo & Erin Mackbee of @krewerestaurant & @flourandflowerbakery whose nourishing, comforting, endlessly inventive food has always been about bringing people together.

Megan & JD Jorgenson of @maineprairiestudio are making every piece of pottery for the night, transforming our table into a gallery of its own. You can even bring home your place setting by ordering it ahead of time (link on ticket page).

@justuswhiskey has created a signature cocktail for our cocktail hour. Learn about this Minnesota-made whiskey from founder Phil Steger who will share his whiskey throughout the evening.

You’ll also enjoy @milkandhoneyciders, @saintcroixvineyards, @carloscreekwinery, @fultonbeer @northstarkombucha, @tostbeverages, @liftbridge, @verdanttea & @dogwoodcoffee.

From the land there is @collegevilleorchards and @minnesotagrownmda which connects Minnesotans with the farmers growing our food.

Make a weekend of it with optional tours at @ingebretsens, @hmongmuseum, @mnbookarts & @justuswhiskey.

Every guest goes home with a goody bag filled with products from our partners & photographer @baileymariedesigns will capture it all.

At Story Feast, everyone matters: the people bringing the feast to the table & the guests who gather around it.

One of Minnesota’s best brewing stories begins in a garage.

In 2006, four friends began brewing beer in a one-car garage in South Minneapolis’s Fulton neighborhood. They brewed 10 gallons at a time, on a homemade rig set on an old bed frame. One of them was finishing grad school at the University of Minnesota at the time. Together they went on to open Minneapolis’s very first taproom.

Ask any neighbor in Northeast and they will tell you that Fulton is one of their favorite things about the neighborhood. That’s why it means so much to us to have @fultonbeer pouring at Story Feast Minneapolis on Saturday, October 24 for a harvest dinner inside the @weismanartmuseum with Chefs Erin & Mateo Mackbee of @krewerestaurant and @flourandflowerbakery.

A harvest menu will be served on @maineprairiestudio ceramics at a table dressed for fall. There’s exclusive gallery access for our guests, a cocktail hour, all alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages, a goody bag filled with Minnesota-made products and optional food tours throughout the weekend.

Only a few seats remain at the long table inside Frank Gehry’s iconic modern art museum. We are so proud of our local Minnesota partnerships. You can reserve your seat and see all the details here: storyfeast.co/minneapolis

Thank you, Fulton, for joining us at the long table!
