Our Master’s Women’s Team ran their way to a 2nd place finish at the Boston Marathon on a beautiful day in Boston 🏁

Leading the charge was Juliet Hershey-Beatty in 2:56:16 — a huge 2-minute PB and 1st place in the 50–54 age group 🥇

Leah Mark followed strong in 3:03:31, with Kristyn Smith closing out scoring in 3:09:26 💪

What a strong team performance from start to finish. Congrats to all our Master's ladies who ran such an amazing race

Theme of the Night: “Teamwork makes the dream work”

On Wednesday night numerous members of the team raced the @tracksmithrunning Twilight 5000. In tougher conditions 🥵, we worked with our teammates and helped push each other to give our best efforts. Tapes were broken, PRs/SBs were set and lots of fun was had!

New York— you were amazing 🤩
I’ve spent the last year being excited, training, recovering from injuries, battling self-doubt, fundraising, and planning. Yesterday, all came together for a day I can hardly describe.
🏃🏼‍♀️
I’ve heard countless people say NYC is their favorite marathon, and I can understand why. All the hype is completely justified! Every borough came out to scream, encourage, provide snacks/water/paper towels and Kleenex— I am in no way complaining when I say I probably heard only 6 songs on my playlist 😂

I am grateful to say I did not have the pain I had last week, and was able to run far more and more consistently (thanks MaryBeth for the extra tips!); I never expected this to be a PR race for the distance, but I also never expected to be smiling for all 26.2 miles, either.

Thank you again to all who supported me this past year, who encouraged me through doubt and disappointing injury, who sent messages and texts (I’m reading them all today and responding as I am able!). All your support means more than I can convey here. You were with me the entire time, and you kept me going!

Celebrating my 10th marathon in NYC was a dream, and I’m so thankful 🥹

If anyone is looking to run NYC and wants to do it through a charity, I HIGHLY recommend @teamforkids ; they were a pleasure to fundraise for, had outstanding course support, and made race morning SO easy. (They are accepting applications for 2024 starting today!)

I started posting my Boston Marathon photos without a real plan, but there are more than 10,000 of them so don't worry, I won't be posting them all on Instagram. While I was shooting the race, I was thinking what am I doing, I am going to have to find storage space for all of these and edit them. But I think I now have a plan. I'm going to post a bunch more on Instagram. Then there will be a pause, perhaps a pretty long one, while I get the rest of them edited. And then I will post the overflow content on Facebook. I know no one uses Facebook anymore, but I think it's the only social media I have that's equipped to handle a whole bunch of photos.

Got in four sweaty miles this morning with my newest tank from @runinrabbit !! LOVE!! I will recommend sizing up if you like your tanks less snug; but I just love the colors and design for this one— and it’s very lightweight 😅
