POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

One year ago today, aNAK was born, as 12 creatives united @theoutlierinn for four days of introspection, shared perspectives, play, movement, nourishment and hyping each other up for whatever comes next. As I head into Cohort 03 next week, I’m forever grateful to this OG squad for helping me bring the vision to life and continuing to support me along the way.

Excited to keep going and growing!

Fall reminds us that stillness does NOT mean shrinking. The trees let go. The days grow shorter. Nature slows down, not because it has less to give, but because rest is part of the cycle.

Stillness can be where we restore, reconnect, and make room for what’s next. You don’t always have to be producing, pushing, or proving. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is give yourself space to rejuvenate. Find your pause, so you can hear what’s on your heart. Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Nothing changes if nothing…what?? Changes. The journey can only begin if there is a departure. Sometimes we’re waiting for the right moment, the right feeling, or a sign that it’s time to move. But change often starts much smaller than that. It starts with one choice to do something differently.

On the mat, we practice meeting ourselves where we are while still creating space for where we’re going. The smallest shift can be the beginning of something bigger. Start with being willing and OPEN to change. Happy hump day, drink your water, floss, and hydrate!!

HAPPY NEW WEEK!! New schedule is up! We’re breaking down the class styles for you. A little FAQ!! Now, for this Monday mental note:

Let yourself take up space, both on and off the mat! Before you step into the world this morning remember that not everything in your needs your attention right this second. Trust yourself and choose what feels true to you!

We’ve been walking together all summer. It’s in these slow moments that we are reminded why we gather, why we slow down and why we show up time and time again.

@krjones_ popped in to guide our mindful moment and it was something special.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this summer for our Friday Walk and Talks. Last one of the season will be this week September 11th — RSVP to let us know you’re joining (link in bio)! More to come ☀️ #letsplaynyc #movement #community

Some of my favorite people and places on 🎞️

I am geeked by how tactile this old school camera is. It allows me to evaluate light and composition in a real way, keeps me present, detaches me from my phone (gasp!), and is a lesson in trust, trial, and error. There is so much beauty in the raw, unfiltered life as we know it.

Made exclusively for the homie @krjones_. Thanks for continuing to trust my craft.

If we haven’t met yet, I’m Lauren, founder of aNAK and host of our Spring retreat.

aNAK is something I’ve been slowly… rapidly… shaping over the past year, and I’ve felt deeply called to build it because I believe more spaces that hold creativity, reflection, movement, nature, and community together are needed right now.

In October of last year I tested vision, exploring what unfolds when these elements are brought together in one shared experience. Seeing what emerged, and feeling the resonance among the first cohort, made it clear this needed to keep going. This is my effort to make that kind of experience accessible to more of us.

aNAK means “my child” in Tagalog. It’s what my mother has always called me, and still does. The name holds the heart of this work: honoring the inner child, protecting creative curiosity, and supporting people as whole humans, not just for what they produce.

Cohort 02 gathers this May, and if this resonates, I’d love to have you out there with us.

The Outlier Inn, Catskills, May 14–17
