🚨Pearson Sound • Friday October 16🚨

Be Yourself x Spend The Night present Pearson Sound
A founding force behind Hessle Audio and one of the most influential voices to emerge from the UK underground.

A pioneer of contemporary club music, he has spent the past 20 years moving between different aliases, sounds, and scenes, connecting the blueprint of UK soundsystem culture with the cutting edge of dance music.

His work moves across the wider spectrum of bass, techno, broken beat, and leftfield club music, with a constant focus on experimentation and pushing the possibilities of sound.

We’re beyond excited to welcome Pearson Sound back to PDX for his first solo set in 8 years with support from Gardenparty and Petite Syrah.

Pearson Sound @pearsonsound
Pearson Sound is the alias of UK producer, DJ, and mix engineer David Kennedy, and one of the three founders of Hessle Audio. Rooted in the tradition of UK soundsystem culture, his work moves across bass, techno, and experimental dance music, defined by dark rhythmic grooves, intricate percussion, and a forward thinking approach to production and DJing.

From his early releases inspired by seminal London clubs FWD>> and DMZ to tracks like Alien Mode and Red Sky, Pearson Sound has built a distinctive sound that constantly pushes forward. His self titled 2015 debut LP further explored his experimental side, while his DJ sets continue to connect the dots between his productions, dubplates, edits, and a wide spectrum of contemporary electronic music.

🦎 September 18 🦎

The time has come for another ritualistic ceremony to align energies from different intergalactic star civilizations to our own. In preparation for another destined gathering in the great woods of Takilma (Osmosis in the Trees), we have called upon a highly skilled team of frequency technicians to tune us up for the adventure. Andy Martin, Yushh and a secret guest will take the lead in this preamble to the odyssey that will unfold before the equinox. The vigilant hands of local ruin collectors Matryoshka, Moussa, Feu Du Camp and Gardenparty will be blessing the cochleanic membranes. Hasmood will be Helming the visual onboard bioluminescent radar
