This week’s inclusion: roasted garlic + herbs 🧄🌿

Folded right into the dough before shaping, baked low and slow till the crust went deep gold. One slice in and this jumped straight to one of my favorite inclusions yet, that crumb, that garlic in every bite.

I only use the best, @kingarthurbaking bread flour, @krustic_crafts Dutch oven, and @bake.lanon silicone gloves!

Especially good toasted for breakfast with eggs and avocado 🥑🍳

Which inclusion should I try next?

If you love it drop a 💕 If you think this is a waste of time and perfectly good seeds drop a 👎

I’ve seen so many people do insane designs with seeds so I thought I’d try a simple one! I love it!!

I love this season 🍂🤎🍂🧡 pumpkin shaped sourdough

500g flour
350g water
100g starter
10g salt

To create the pumpkin:
- take 4 pieces of twine 36” long and tie together in the center
- Soak in olive oil (helps prevent sticking to the loaf)
- Place the knot in the center of what will be the bottom of the loaf and spread the twine out equally
- Place your parchment or bread mat on top of your banneton and turn your dough onto the counter
- Tie each set of twine together, then tie all in one knot and cut.
- Score your design and bake as usual. I did 25 minutes with lid on at 500 (Dutch oven preheated 1 hour) and 10 minutes without lid at 450
- When done, cut the twine and remove
- Make a hole in the top with a wooden skewer or tooth pick and insert a cinnamon stick!

everyone needs a giant pain au chocolat in their lives 🥐🍫

this dough is a brioche style dough, let me know if you’d like the recipe!! It’s a soft, buttery loaf filled with semi sweet chocolate.

What’s soup season without the bread? What soup should I make this weekend to accompany a slice (or three) of sourdough?
