10 records, but really 10 different pieces of my life. Some were the records that got me into music, some came from friendships and the hardcore scene, and some are just records I’ll never get tired of listening to.

#thevinylten

This was my first LP, besides Weird Al Yankovic In 3-D and Tony Basil Word of Mouth. That alone makes it pretty special to me.

The first MIDNIGHT LP with the leather cover, out of 25. I actually scored my copy from the singer of 9 Shocks Terror a few years ago. Definitely one of those pieces that means more because of how I ended up with it.

Age of Quarrel with the RUNDMC Label
A few years back my buddy Dave Brown called me from the East Coast and told me Mark from TKO Records had one for sale at the shop in Huntington Beach. My buddy from Bitter End was in town, so we headed down there and I picked it up — along with some rather questionable Oi! LPs. 😂

Everyone seems to be hating on this record, but I honestly think it might be my record of the year. You’ve got members of Void, Soundgarden, Nirvana and the Melvins involved, and I think it’s fucking awesome. It was even better live.

The cover is literally just the word “PENTAGRAM” in purple, but that record is amazing. And being from my hometown of DC makes it even more special to me.

I bought this at Bleecker Bob’s in the mid-’90s for around $49. Back then, that was a LOT of money for a record. I’m pretty sure it goes for a hell of a lot more now. 😂
$100 is the new $1

Eddie alone is enough reason any kid would fall in love with this LP. One of those covers that grabs you immediately.

This is my go-to album. I can’t believe this movie and soundtrack are 40 years old. I can never get tired of watching the movie or listening to this record. RIP Peter Cullen? Wait… Optimus Prime lives forever. ❤️

Honestly, pick any album from either band. Members of both bands are some of my longest friendships from the hardcore scene. I did so much with Count Me Out over the years, and seeing Carry On finally get the reaction they deserved this past summer at Sound and Fury was fucking amazing.

I’ve seen Siouxsie and the Banshees a few times, as well as The Creatures and her solo shows. Her d

Here are two different versions for the flyer I posted a few days ago. I love having things like this, to me it shows how fluid people have to be when booking shows. Line ups change, venues change, and you have to roll with it. In cases like this, the show that happens becomes pretty legendary. I think I've booked one show in my life, and I suck at it. So I salute anyone who is able to do it on a consistent basis. #mouthpiece #countmeout #nojustice #sharkattack #deadserious

2025 was a real rollercoaster of a year... and the "highs" made the "lows" more manageable. So here's a bunch of "highs" that happened this past year... with a heavy focus on hanging out with new/old friends, along with meeting some awesome people that I never thought I'd be lucky enough to meet in-person! I even included a picture of my coworkers and some of the student workers from my office from our #christmasparty2025🎄✨❄️!

Special thanks to @cristinabuentell0brown, @artistic.acie.brown.03, @ransom.finn, @slice_eo_bread, and Vinny Brown for being my amazing family on this rollercoaster called #life!

Met @kingtla after his performance at the @officialtempleofhiphop event the @wendemuseum in Culver City last night. Had him sign my @glenefriedman #fuckyoutoo book, and then he showed it to some of his friends outside. More photos to come!

26 years ago today... Count Me Out played their "limited edition 1st show" at St. Edwards Epiphany School in Richmond VA. Also on the bill that night we're Barfight / Time Flies / For The Living / Landmark / 97a. I think Rain On The Parade canceled though. I hadn't moved to Richmond yet... but this was one of the shows that really made me feel "at home"... in a room surrounded by friends... Many of which I am still friends with 26 years later! Hardcore rules!
