🎾 Learning beyond the classroom!

K-State Physical Education students took their learning to the court during a hands-on USTA Missouri Valley Training workshop!

Students explored developmentally appropriate ways to teach tennis and introduce racquet-based activities in physical education, along with instructional strategies to make the sport accessible, engaging and fun for students of all skill levels.

Real-world experiences like these help future educators build the skills and confidence they need to bring meaningful movement experiences into their future classrooms! 💜

👀 Seeing PE from a new perspective!

K-State Physical Education students learned from teachers from the Kansas School for the Blind during the workshop, Including the Student Who Is Visually Impaired (VI) in Physical Education.

Students gained practical strategies for adapting activities, equipment and instruction, as well as communication techniques to help students with visual impairments participate meaningfully and successfully in physical education.

Learning directly from professionals in the field gives our future educators the tools to create PE environments where every student can move, participate and thrive. 🏃‍♀️🏀
