A huge thank you to the Kansas Athletics Mental Health Performance Department, Maya, Kristie, Jeff, Ben, and everyone at KU who helped put together such an amazing event.

Coming back to share my mental health journey, the challenges I faced, and how I found my way through them meant more than words can express.

You all are doing a phenomenal job. Your care for our students and student-athletes goes beyond being mentors, coaches, and friends. You make them feel like family, reminding them that their well-being matters and that they don’t have to face their struggles alone.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for welcoming me back as a guest speaker and giving me the space to share the person behind the smile.

Always love,
Darnell Jackson

This week is Big 12 Mental Health Awareness Week...we are reminding our student-athletes that true high performance starts from the inside out. Drop a 💚 in the comments to show your teammates they don't have to carry the weight alone. #beakthestigma
