Ground beef, farm eggs cooked in grass-fed tallow from Lineage, and a glass of raw milk… I’m full until the evening!

The tallow we use is from Lineage Provisions. Grass-fed, beautifully yellow, and it makes everything taste better. We go through a lot of it.

The lesson isn’t what you say at the dinner table.

It’s what your kids see you do every single morning.

Mine see me outside in the cold, in the rain, no excuses.

That’s the only health talk that actually sticks.

The busier life gets, the more your health deserves protecting, not the other way around.

I didn’t plan to become a farmer but here we are

Biohacks are tools. This is the foundation.

I’d start investing as early as possible and let compound interest do the heavy lifting. The money doesn’t run out of time the way I do.

I’d buy land as soon as I could, especially land with water and resources. That’s real independence.

I’d learn to build with my hands. Woodworking, masonry, welding. I’m learning all of it now and I wish I’d started two decades earlier.

I’d make my money work for me instead of trading my time for a paycheck. Time is the one thing you can’t make more of.

I’d learn the old skills how to hunt, forage, and process animals. They keep you fed and they keep you outside.

I’d question established systems instead of assuming they’re right. Most of what everyone does isn’t actually good for us.

I’d stop spending money I didn’t have. The expensive cars, the clothes, I wasted a lot chasing things that didn’t matter.

I’d spread my investments out early: gold, silver, bitcoin, real estate, ETFs. Not everything in one place.

I’d teach my kids to invest from the start. We do it now, and by my age they’ll have more than I ever will.

I’d get into homesteading sooner. It took me 44 years to build the life I should’ve been building all along.

Early morning sunlight into the retina sets your circadian clock for the night ahead.

Most people skip it. I built my whole morning around it.
Feed the cows, move the tractor, check the paddock. By the time I’m back at my desk, the stress response never had a chance to start.

Big fan moment! I was at the booth with my friends from Proven, talking about how we raise our animals, our regenerative farming practices, and everything that goes into it and literally five minutes later, Joel Salatin walks right by us. There was no way I wasn’t stopping him for a photo. This man has been one of the biggest inspirations behind everything we do. 🙏

Joel’s Polyface Micro book has been a tremendous help implementing regenerative farming practices at a homestead scale.

Mobile rabbit tractors, for example, have completely changed how we raise rabbits on pasture.

Our soil tests came back low in magnesium. That means our pasture, our vegetables, our beef — all of it — is delivering less magnesium than it should.

And this isn’t just a homestead problem. Soil depletion across the US means most food is less nutrient-dense than it was decades ago, no matter how clean your diet is.

Magnesium is one I still supplement even raising our own beef, pork, poultry, and vegetables. Most single-form magnesium causes GI issues at effective doses — I’ve been through that.

What I use is Magnesium Breakthrough by BiOptimizers. Seven forms at lower doses each, targeting different absorption pathways. Sleep, stress resilience, recovery. Zero digestive issues on my end.

Two capsules before bed or in the morning. Link and discount code in bio if you want to try it.

Most “grass-fed” beef comes from land that’s being grazed into the ground. Here’s what actually moves the needle.

☀️🌾Hard work doesn’t guarantee health. Even homesteaders can get it wrong.🌞 @mkummer82

Living off the land ≠ metabolic health.
Hard work. Fresh air. Real food.
Still not enough.

In this clip, Michael Kummer — founder of MK Supplements and a homesteader himself — shares a truth that surprises a lot of people:

Even ranchers and homesteaders can struggle with chronic conditions and metabolic disease.

Why?

Because being busy working the land doesn’t always mean being aware of things like:
• over-consuming carbs
• seed oils
• inflammatory PUFAs

Health isn’t automatic — it’s learned!
That’s why conversations like this matter.
And why Hack Your Health exists.

Everyone loves chicken… but almost nobody knows what they’re actually eating.

Modern meat chickens like “cornish-cross” aren’t “natural”. They’re engineered to grow fast, stay on the ground, and reach butcher weight in 45 days.

If you want real food, you need to understand the breeds, the practices, and the trade-offs.
