Most Exceptional Fellow, Oyo Policy and Advocacy Lab, 2025 Award goes to...
Ruqayyah Abiodun Bello🙉🤍

Here's how it went down...

Four months ago, I saw the @theblackgirlsdream Call for application into the Oyo Policy & Advocacy Lab Fellowship and something in me just said: apply.
I didn't overthink it at all.

Fast forward… I made the Top 50 and I got in.

And from that moment, everything changed.

Learning Social entrepreneurship, Policy writing, Advocacy, Digital safety and Storytelling from seasoned experts was everything to me.
Our visit to the Oyo State House of Assembly was especially eye opening. I learned a lot.

Then came the parliamentary simulation among fellows.
I contested for the position of Majority Leader against 4 brilliant minds and I won😭.
The compliments after the session were overwhelming. One would think I'd done it for years.

Our Community Advocacy project at Ìta Baálè community, Beere, Ibadan came with a dash of disappointment.
It took grit, strategy, teamwork, and a whole lot of patience.
But hey! We did it. And I’m proud of what we have established.

Finally, graduation day came… 🎓
And when I heard:

“Most Exceptional Fellow… Ruqayyah Abiodun Bello.”

I was SHOOK. 😭🙌🏽
I just showed up… and gave my best, that was it.

I sincerely appreciate @karimotodebode and the @ng_youthfund for creating a space where young women are shown that they can achieve anything, without limitation.
Thank you for believing in us.

Now, to you reading this;
Please apply for the opportunity.
Even if you feel unready.
Even if you feel small.
Just apply… and do the work. Your next move can change everything.

Keep winning 🤍✨

Every MASS Movement gathering always ends with beautiful pictures🤩😍

Last Saturday was a great moment for me, where the Book of Nehemiah was practically dissected is ways I've never seen, herald or read!

It was as if the two hours teaching should not end....#engagingbabylon2 was revelational and insightful for daily living of Christians.
Special thanks to the Convener @tolucci.ng @mass_movement
God bless and replenish you Sir.
