For eight years, a forgotten master has lived in hiding, guarding the most sacred relic of the Mantis Clan.

The world sees a drunken old hermit.
His enemies believe he's dead.

They are all about to discover the truth. One visitor. One forgotten secret. One final battle.

The legend of the Golden Mantis.

“Straddle the tiger overturn the cart”
Bro you playing WOW and have the spectral tiger?🐯

An exciting new project!
The kung fu combat library is a project I've been working on lately: an internet library containing maps, articles and interviews on the subject of chinese martial arts anc chinese martial arts history. The library is still in it's early stages but it will evolve with time and we already have a bunch of content for you to experience and learn.

A link to the library:

These should correspond to the seven parts of your form, @kungfu.combat ? We did it with our body mechanics, but overall I think they are pretty similar? 😁🙏

I had the pleasure of interviewing Shifu Josef Levitis, who currently teaches Plum Flower Mantis (Mei Hua Tang Lang) and combat athletics in Netanya, Israel. I asked him questions regarding his martial arts journey, from Vietnamese martial arts taught in Russia to finding his teacher, Shifu Ilya Profatilov. Please enjoy!

If you are interested in further information, please contact Shifu Levitis through Facebook or Instagram (josef_levitis).

UFC 302, the epic battle between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier — and the Traditional Chinese martial arts techniques on clear display for all to see... Why would traditional Chinese boxing skills show up in mixed martial arts? It's not just that we are all human with two arms and two legs, the fighting context benefits from skills used within Chinese boxing. With Dustin's priority on staying standing and striking vs the doctrine of striking to grappling on Islam's part, the same solutions as those that have already been invented in China will reappear.

Just as a habitat encourages certain animals to evolve, the context demands certain kinds of fighters.

As the modern MMA sport continues to evolve, we are seeing more and more of what resembles TCMA as fighters seek to fluidly blend striking and wrestling and dominate their opponents.

Here I, Vincent Tseng @the.wandering.warrior , and my friend Josef Levitis of @kungfu.combat analyze the fight between Islam Makhachev and Dustin Poirier from UFC 302 and point out where, why and how the two fighters utilized techniques similar to or exactly the same as those from Traditional Chinese Boxing systems.

The Full Video is now on my YouTube channel, The Wandering Warrior, the link for which is in my bio (for the instagrammers)
