Why does Proof still feel so relevant?

Rishan Dhamija, who plays Hal, talks about growing up in India, where careers in engineering, medicine, and other STEM fields are incredibly common, but the gender balance in those spaces still isn’t equal.

And that’s part of what makes this story so relevant.

Proof asks us to look at what happens when a woman’s intelligence, ability, and accomplishments are questioned simply because she doesn’t look like the person we’ve been conditioned to expect.

Why should women have to provide more “proof” that they belong in the room?

Come see Rishan in Arizona Theatre Company’s Proof and experience the conversation for yourself.

Arizona Theatre Company kicked off its 59th season with David Auburn’s Proof!

This Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama follows Catherine, the daughter of a brilliant mathematician, as she wrestles with her father’s legacy, her own talent and whether she can let love in. It’s real, raw, funny and heartbreaking.

Starring Emmy Award-winning actress @katemansi as Catherine, @scolo222 as her genius father Robert, @kurtakast as his protégé Hal, and @emma.c.maltby as her estranged sister Claire.

Every actor in this four-person cast is making their ATC debut, and I was wildly impressed by all of them. The staging, set, and lighting were stunning, too.

The beautiful production is directed by ATC Artistic Director Emeritus David Ira Goldstein, who led the company for more than two decades before returning to direct Proof.

To save $20 on your tickets*, use code PINK20 at checkout on ATC.org! (*limit of four per person, person show)
