Follow along practice for the first 10 forms of the Taichi Qigong Shibashi.

For beginners, it might be challenging to synchronise the breath with the forms, so when initially learning the form, it's best to breathe as naturally as you can.

It is important to familiarise yourself with the movements first. When the movements become second nature, then you can start practicing coordinating them with the correct breathing.

The more you deepen your practice with time and effort, everything eventually becomes natural, and free-flowing.

Learn with this principle in mind:

from Patterns → to Details

Spend a good amount of time in learning the general patterns → then focus on the details when you feel like you've reached a plateau or a threshold.

Pre-Qigong Warm-up/Opener Routine.

This is the warm-up sequence we do before every class.

Also makes for an excellent early morning wake-up routine as it aims to gently stimulate all the major joints and meridians from head to toe, and open up the breathing
mechanisms our system.

Practitioner and workshop announcement!

@shaolin.goldenflower is a lifelong learner, qigong practitioner, meditator, and martial artist. He is a Lay Shaolin Arts Practitioner, with Shaolin being a Zen/Chan Buddhist school focused on cultivating the whole person through its six pillars: Meditation, Martial Arts, Qigong, Buddhist Teachings, Daoist Philosophy, and Confucian Ethics.

At @restival.retreat he will be delivering an introductory Qigong workshop and a led class, focusing on simple exercises and Baduanjin (The Eight Brocades). Baduanjin is one of the most classical and widely practiced forms of Qigong. In this workshop, participants will learn to move with slow, mindful awareness, allowing the body to release tension, improve circulation, and develop a deeper connection between movement, breath, and attention.

The perfect example of 80% mindset 20% mechanics. Kevin had a stunning wealth of knowledge and a burning desire to help people with it, but couldn't bring himself to charge for his work and step into his authority.
We did the inner work (mindset) to shift the beliefs about money, worth, receiving, and value.
We then used my systems (mechanics) to design a lifestyle and a business that fulfills his values, package his program, find his ideal clients, and sell from the heart.

Starting with the energetics creates rapid results 👏
