A week ago I said goodbye to Masquerade after a year and a half creating and working amongst some of the most dedicated, caring, and talented artists across every department.
To say this is the hardest thing any of us have ever done is an understatement. But I am so proud of the work and artistry that happens each night. More specifically 6 times a night, across 5 floors, 2 rooftops and some of us running an average of 30 flights of stairs each show.
There are too many memories, stories, adventures…
But here are a few from the last year and a half. A little peek into the life of working on the world’s first immersive musical.
I have so much love for every artist in the Opéra Populaire. My Phamily. I miss you all already! 🌹🖤❤️

@masqueradenyc opened on Sunday. She is no joke, and was extremely hard to get on her feet. Eternally grateful to this group of people who always asked how things could be better (even if I didn’t want to hear it), and who always tried to make me smile (even if I was very tired and angry). Come see the Masquerade!!! 🌹 ❤️

Since early May I’ve been working on one of the most challenging and rewarding projects. And I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be in a room with! Just last week, we invited our first preview audiences to be a part of this world we have created.
I have so much to say but for now I can officially say that I am thrilled to be working with the most caring and talented group of artists, on stage and off, in bringing a new immersive Phantom to life.
I’m humbled, grateful, (and exhausted). Come see us!

Had a wee developmental reading of my newest yesterday with this company of absolute killers. What a thrill, what a plejj, what a JOY to spend the day with so many lovely, funny, wildly talented people.

Big thanks to @emmarosawent for corralling the troops and being both a great director and hype man. I love collabing with you, what a dang treat.

Incidentally, today is Benedict Arnold’s birthday (the play is about him and his wife Peggy), so raise a treason cupcake for the dude!
