[NOVEMBER 12TH] I’m throwing my very first dance! 🎉

For the past two years, I’ve had so much fun celebrating black music, black culture and black dance through our radio shows and our Ludi Club - it’s been such a wholesome journey watching our community grow through it.

Our HOME RADIO dance series is an extension of all the things that make those gatherings feel warm, intentional and rooted in heritage - but we’re giving you a little bit more space to move your waist, dance with a friend (or a lover😉) and free your body. We call this first one: THE DANCE STARTS AT HOME

We’re going to be travelling through the last 50 years - Home Radio style. Come through to hear Lovers Rock, Street Soul, Bruk and Jungle from our family of DJ’s and MC’s on the mighty Each One Teach One sound system. And we’ll be hosting a legendary cypher: London’s most fiery MC’s over funky and ragga-infused beats🔥🔥🔥

This is going to feel just like the Blue’s Parties you might have heard about from back in the day. There’ll be two rooms: the kitchen will be LIVELY, with a large pot of Caribbean soup on the stove from Grandma Cynthia, Trini Doubles from Eyram of @gardenofafruika and spiced, loose-leaf teas from @gabrieldedji

Keeping the dancefloor warm we have:

EACH ONE TEACH ONE DJ’S
SHARI SOUL W/ CULTURE J (MC)
KLONDÉ FT. DOCHI, KING KAI & OBI PSALMS
PRINCESS DEJ

Ludi and Dominoes at the start if you make it down early!

See you in the dance 🏡🪩

12TH NOVEMBER
7PM - 12PM
📍ARCH 535
Tickets available on RA (link in bio).

Shout out to Jesse Bernard for inspiring the name and to @vxrgo__ who’s been my right hand in planning this!

“It’s almost like meditating”

@ky7le shared how the systems embedded in modern society can leave us feeling rushed, overwhelmed and uneasy. He reflected on how other societies have developed calmer, more intentional ways of living—and what we might learn from them.

In a world that keeps asking us to speed up, how do we create time to pause, slow down, and regain control?
