Ohio high school students: What’s it like to be LGBTQ+ at your school? What do you wish could be better? Join us on October 20 for a listening event on Zoom, part of the Belonging for Every Student Listening Campaign. We want to learn how recent anti-LGBTQ+ laws and school policies are affecting your school experience. Students and parents are invited, with separate Zoom rooms so students can talk with students and parents can talk with parents. Your experiences will help shape advocacy for safer, more inclusive Ohio schools during the 2026–2027 school year. Your perspective matters, your safety matters, and you matter! Sign up here: bit.ly/october20-LS (link in bio) Invitation to join a session on October 20th at 7pm to improve safety for LGBTQ+ students in schools through shared experiences and advocacy.

I’m beyond excited to be performing in @chappellroan ‘s Super Graphic Spectacular! The show will be raising funds for trans youth and the queer community through her nonprofit, @midwestprincessproject. I can’t thank you enough for inviting me @chappellroan . It’s an absolute dream and honor to be a part of this epic line-up. It feels like being somewhere over the rainbow. 🌈 Tix to the show are sold out, but you can still come to the block party outside @shrinela beforehand or submit auction items to help raise money for the nonprofit. Check out and follow some of the organizations that @midwestprincessproject supports in the slides. A night of connection and commitment to supporting LGBTQ+ youth! On Thursday, several members of the Columbus LGBTQ+ Affairs Commission attended @kycohio fundraising soirée, celebrating the organization’s work and connecting with community advocates. Supporting LGBTQ+ youth has been an important topic raised during our community listening sessions. The evening offered another opportunity to hear from others, share the Commission’s work and continue those conversations. Thank you, KYC, for bringing our community together and all you do for LGBTQ+ young people!

Stepped way out of my comfort zone but I had a lovely night with lovely people, supporting a lovely cause. It was so nice to finally meet some of my colleagues in real life, after working together for years! #lgbtqteens #lgbtqyouth #lgbtqsupport

What. A. Night. 175 people. Six Honorees. Over $40,000 raised in one evening. Last Thursday’s Advocates & Allies: Turning Protest into Policy was everything we needed it to be and more.  Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave, cheered, supported, and reminded us why this community is the absolute best. And thank you to our fabulous host, @anisalove2023. And we’re not done! We’re pushing toward a stretch goal of $50,000 to fund the work that doesn’t wait: support for trans Ohioans, nonpartisan voter engagement heading into November, and advocates at the Statehouse ready to fight anti-equality bills after election day. Anti-LGBTQ+ laws are impacting students across Ohio. So we are launching a listening campaign to learn how these laws are affecting students and school communities. Here’s one of the questions from the survey. How comfortable are you speaking honestly with teachers? Let us know in the comments AND the survey! Take the anonymous survey to help us advocate for and keep LGBTQ+ students and educators safe. Visit our linktree and take the survey today! #legal #local #statewide #equality

✨ And just like that…our 2026 Yoga in the Park series has come to a close. Together, we raised just over $1,200 for @kycohio - an organization supporting LGBTQ+ youth right here in our community. 🤝✨ Thank you to everyone who came out, brought a friend, spread the word, and made these Sunday mornings under the trees what they were. And a big thank you to our AYA teachers for showing up alongside our recent teacher training graduates as they stepped into the park and led us through practice this last season. 🤍 Until we gather under the trees again! (Jk, we’ll see you in the studio 😉🙌)

📣 The Columbus LGBTQIA+ community is celebrating the extraordinary legacy of Danny Stout, a longtime Columbus resident, entrepreneur, and well-known member of our community who passed away in July. Through his estate, Danny left a combined $750,000 legacy gift to Stonewall Columbus, Kaleidoscope Youth Center, and Equality Ohio. This is a transformational investment that will strengthen LGBTQIA+ advocacy, youth services, community spaces, and the organizations working every day to serve our community. Danny’s generosity comes at a consequential moment for LGBTQIA+ nonprofits. His investment will help create critical sustainability amid an increasingly uncertain funding and political environment. Danny’s generosity is also a powerful reminder that legacy is not simply what we leave behind—it’s what we make possible for those who come next. By including LGBTQIA+ organizations in wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, and estate plans, we can help sustain the institutions that have sustained us.  Read the full joint announcement from Equality Ohio, Kaleidoscope Youth Center, and Stonewall Columbus in the links in our bios. Thank you, Danny!!! THANK YOU!
