POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
It has now been several weeks since camp ended at The Coast, and I’ve been reflecting on what makes camp so special. Honestly, camp brings out both the best and the worst in me. My own selfishness is met with opportunity after opportunity to selflessly serve others. Each day, I have to wake up and choose to serve, choose to love others well, choose to have one more conversation, and choose to follow Jesus in all that He has for me.
I tell Camp Crew at the beginning of each summer, ā€œYou can do anything for 8 weeks.ā€ And every year, we reach the end of those 8 weeks and look back in awe at all that God has done.
I’m so thankful for another summer serving at camp and another summer leading Camp Crew. Each year, a different team is gathered, grown, challenged, and stretched as we get to watch young people take their next step with Jesus. It’s an amazing thing to see teenagers willingly sacrifice their summer to minister to campers, 4,084, to be exact, serve behind the scenes, and help keep the operation of camp running.
Four years in, and I still can’t believe God allows me to be a part of this.
Camp has taught me that ministry isn’t always what I thought it would look like. Some days it is praying with someone. Some days it is sharing a laundry list of announcements. Sometimes it is having a conversation you really don’t want to have. And other days, it is handing out 400 Chick-fil-A sandwiches while making camp a safe place for 4th of July fireworks. It looks different every day, but this summer, I was able to watch God do far more than I could have planned.
I’m leaving this summer grateful and even more convinced that there is nothing like serving where God has you.
Thank you, @kyle_gray , for allowing me to be here. Thank you, @james_koch , @abi_coburn16 , and the Camp Crew unit leaders, for being faithful teammates. And thank you to the rest of the leadership team, Camp Crew, and so many others for another incredible summer!
@gavynandrews , I am so thankful to be able to do this with you and Haddie! (And a special shoutout to @lexiecait for making Haddie’s summer so special.)
Thank you, Jesus, for another summer.

THE COAST ā€˜26
At the beginning of this season, one of my deepest prayers was that God would keep me spiritually fresh. In the middle of serving, pouring into others, and constantly doing, I wanted to remember that my first calling was not simply to work for Jesus, but to remain with Jesus, to slow down, make space for solitude, meditate on His presence, and let Him transform me from the inside out. And He answered that prayer in ways I didn’t expect.

This season in camp was beautiful, but it was also hard. There were moments of pain, exhaustion, weakness, and insecurity. The language barrier often made me feel inadequate and reminded me of how little control I actually had.
But perhaps that was part of the GRACE. God used my limitations to bring me back to dependence. He reminded me that transformation does not come from trying harder, but from abiding in Him. And in His providence, God also provided people who helped me remain there. He placed people around me who encouraged me, listened to me, prayed with me, challenged me, reminded me of truth, and gave me space to rest. Through them, I experienced a beautiful picture of God’s care: His grace often comes to us through the people He intentionally places in our lives.I learned that spiritual freshness is not the absence of exhaustion. It is knowing where to return when you are exhausted.
In the quiet moments, in prayer, in Scripture, in simply sitting before Jesus, I was reminded that He Himself is the source of the life I am trying to give away. I cannot pour out what I have not first received from Him. Looking back, I don’t only see what I accomplished. I see how God was transforming me through the process.
He was teaching me that ministry flows from communion.
That rest is not wasted time.
That God can meet everywhere.
That transformation happens as I remain with Jesus.
And that I was never meant to walk this journey alone.Grateful for every camper, every conversation, every prayer, every difficult moment, and every opportunity to point someone toward Christ.I leave this season not feeling like I have become stronger on my own, but more deeply aware of my need for Jesus, and that’s GRACE

WOLBI Graduation 2026!!

THANK YOU JESUS FOR A SWEET YEAR !! Thank you Jesus for sweet friendships. Thank you Jesus for all the support and encouragement. Thank you Jesus for so many opportunities that opened. Thank you Jesus for sweet roommates. Thank you Jesus for all the wonderful Bible classes I got to attend. Lastly, Thank you Jesus for everything that you have provided.

Words can’t even express how deeply grateful I am to be apart of this amazing community. I will never forget how much this year impacted my life so much. The Lord has taught so many things, but the one thing I was reminded so much was that he will always provide and guide me throughout life when it’s hard. And to be loving and caring TOGETHER as a community.

ā€œWhatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God.ā€
