INTRODUCING… THE CAST OF “YOU + ME WILL ALWAYS BE BACK THEN” 🎭🎞📣

Our “Sam” played by @katelagn . Kate Nguyen is an actor, raised in San Diego, with proud Filipino / Vietnamese roots. After college, she began training with coach Terry Ross, and most recently played the role of Jesse in “Every Day Vanilla.” Kate is also known for her role in the short “LOVE: Locked & Loaded,” which was a top contender in the San Diego 48 in 2022. Now, she has the honor of playing Sam, and cannot wait for you to hear this queer love story.
—
Our “Maya” played by @lanigobaleza . Lani Gobaleza (she/her) is a writer-actor and small business owner based in San Diego. She is also the founder of Spare Pen Club, a group of local writers and creatives. Her debut play “Every Day Vanilla,” a queer coming-of-age story spanning 10 years, premiered independently at MOXIE Theatre in 2023.

After studying history and theater at UC Berkeley, she continued her studies at LA Acting Studio SD and Terry Ross of Acting Professionally. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to be your Maya and to work with a team who understands that there is strength in softness.
—
Our “Noah” played by @kylebtiglao . Kyle Blaine Tiglao is a film/theatrical actor born and raised in Chula Vista, CA known for his recent role as Aubrey Delgado in the play, “Every Day Vanilla”. He has received Hybrid Meisner training from Los Angeles Acting Studio coaches Andrew Benne, Irene Muzzy, and Aleksander D’Avignon. When he isn’t an actor, Kyle assists the older adult population as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. His hobbies include the gym, basketball (Go Lakers!), karaoke, and dancing!

A note from our director, @rissamayrox –

@everydayvanilla_play was hands down my favorite work of art to come out of 2023. So to have these 3 incredible actors in my film only made sense… Kate, Lani, + Kyle, I would not have wanted to make my directorial return with anyone else. We’re about to make magic 🎞✨

To my casting director @earlando_engkanto , thanks for putting in the work before the work 😉 and thank you to my casting team @princssleah @edrianpenguino + @jujunatividad for the assist! 🍾🥂
