It was great having fight nutritionist @kylebuggy drop in for a session and meet the guys. We’ll be organising a seminar with Kyl in the coming weeks for all athletes keen to stay on top of their nutrition for upcoming fights.

Kyl works with professional fighters across multiple combat sports internationally, so his expertise goes well beyond just Muay Thai.

Any fighters looking to take their nutrition to the next level, definitely hit him up for personalised fight-camp nutrition plans tailored to your training, weight and performance goals. 🥊💪

Camp done and dusted, see you Sunday 🤙
Special thanks to everyone who's helped throughout the weeks.
@ed.physio for the superb physio work over the last several months and @kylebuggy for making the nutrition this camp the easiest it’s ever been.
(Both who will be definitely getting their own posts, can’t stress enough how much they have helped)
Of course @zombiegaz @tillythedogbell the guys over at @sabai_muaythai_and_boxing and of course all my teammates at @choppers_gym.

Acute weight cutting can be extremely dangerous, however, if done safely and effectively this can give you a significant competitive advantage over your competitors!

Please note this example week is a more aggressive approach. It’s important each strategy is tailored and scaled to your weigh-in time, habitual diet, bodyweight and experience.

For example a 24hr weigh-in gives us a greater capacity to refuel and rehydrate, whereas a 2hr weigh in means less time for recovery. In this case we would scale these strategies down and primarily manipulate food volume and fibre.

A strategic refuel and rehydration strategy is crucial to replenish glycogen stores, electrolytes and hydration status post weigh-in to ensure you are in peak form at your time of competition.

We highly recommend booking a 1:1 appointment with us for personalised guidance and support through the link in our bio’s
