The Chase Brock Experience seeks excellent, versatile dancer-actors of all ethnicities & backgrounds for onstage & understudy roles in its 20th Anniversary Season, featuring 4 world premieres, 6 repertory revivals, 2 NYC engagements (May, Nov 2027), several tour dates (Feb, Apr, Aug, Sep 2027) & multiple festival appearances (Jun-Aug, Oct 2027). 
Dancer-actors should have excellent ballet technique, exceptional musicality, strong natural acting skills, some training/ability in tap/percussive dance forms & should specialize in either modern/contemporary or jazz/theater dance. Pointe, tumbling, hip-hop inflected movement & folk dance forms make occasional appearances in the repertory; experience in those areas is useful but not required. CBE considers dancers of any/all genders for all roles. Dancers do not need to be available for all dates mentioned above to audition. Some dancers may be offered the entire season, but most will be cast according to the needs of the particular repertory/production. Pay varies by project, with rehearsals for NYC engagements/tours paying $25-30/hr & tech/performance weeks paying $1000-$1250 + per diem, housing & transportation when out of NYC. Festivals/one-off events typically pay a flat fee, often ranging $500-$1000, & are typically rehearsed over 1-2 weeks. Rehearsal takes place in NYC with some rehearsals taking place in residencies at Modern Accord Depot in Accord, NY & other Hudson Valley residency venues. Dancers hired as 1099 contractors. Auditions held by appointment Mon Nov 2 and Wed Nov 4 at 10am, 12pm, 2pm & 4pm each day. The same material (3 contrasting excerpts) will be taught in each 2-hr slot, with a potential callback Thu Nov 5 10am-2pm. To audition, you must be available for one (1) 2-hr appointment as well as the entire callback. A full-circle moment I never could have imagined. I’m walking back through these doors with a heart full of gratitude—for the teachers who shaped me, the students who continue to teach me, and every chapter that brought me here. There’s something deeply humbling about returning to a place that once held so many dreams, now carrying a little more wisdom, a lot more perspective, and the same love for dance.
