RECAP: Best. Weekend. Ever. ✨💞

This was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life — an incredible, joy-filled weekend that let me step fully into my feminine energy. Don’t get me wrong, it was very tiring with early mornings, long days, hours of rehearsals, short breaks, and quick wardrobe changes… but it was beyond worth it. I fulfilled a childhood dream and refused to wonder “what if.” Little Mel is so happy, and my heart is full. 🥹

I put myself out there in the boldest way — stepping confidently into who I am and shining God’s light through it all. I went in with the intention to share His love, and I had so many beautiful opportunities to do exactly that.

Every time I do something I’ve never done — whether stepping on stage in front of hundreds, jumping out of a plane, or quitting my corporate job to follow my dreams — it becomes one of the best experiences of my life. That’s where I grow the most. With God’s guidance, I’ve learned to love who I am, trust myself — and more importantly, trust Him — in a deeper way, and see myself for who He created me to be.

Pageantry is so much more than it appears from the outside, and I have endless admiration for all the women who dedicate themselves to it. There were over eighty of us this weekend, and it truly is a beautiful sisterhood. The friendships and bonds I made with so many inspiring, amazing, beautiful women are beyond priceless, and I am filled with gratitude.

Thank you to Kristen for spearheading this pageant with such grace, my sweet house mom Lori for the guidance, the incredible sponsors, the wonderful resort staff, and the entire Miss CA USA team for making this so special.

I loved this experience and am already excited at the thought of returning next year in hopes of winning the crown! Now I’m looking forward to continuing to pursue other dreams, but I’ll cherish these memories forever.

If there’s something you’ve always wanted to do — or even something you’re curious about — I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and give yourself the opportunity to go for it. You’ll grow so much by taking that leap of faith. You are so worthy of that, I promise. 💞

I had a blast playing Dylan on this commercial and everyone on set was super cool. This is another gig I did a while ago but I have to populate this new acting page 😁🎭

Tonight! If Lifetime thrillers are your jam then check out this one we made last October called “KILLER GRADES”! airs tonight 9/20 @8EST/7C/5pm & 9pm PST on LMN!

It was yet another monumental accomplishment as it was in the somewhat “early days” of the pandemic and we had only 11 days to shoot some 186 scenes and make it look “aspirational” 😂🤯
I thought Josh my DP killed it together with his crew including @philipnat on steadicam. The cast was a bunch of great and talented people and it was my reunion with “Psycho Brother in Law”‘s Zack Gold and Megan Brown.
Try to avoid watching the trailer or teaser because it gives everything away and doesn’t do the movie justice. Neither does the official poster so enjoy this one I whipped together. :)
