“A good education is no load to carry”

Thanks for that wisdom Grandma, I know you and Grandpa were somewhere watching on Sunday, I saw two empty seats dead center and like to think you came by to watch.

More pictures from this Sunday

Thanks @seancritchfieldphotos for these killer shots❤️

As well as Larry Henley!

🎓I was honored to have been the Graduation Speaker at yesterday’s Graduation ceremony where I received my MFA in Acting Performance! 🎓

I can’t believe my time with UNLV has come to a close. This institution has meant the world to me, and I’ve felt so lucky to find a second home here.

UNLV allowed me to flourish in ways I never knew were possible for me. I got to play my dream role of Hedda Gabler, adapted by my dear mentor Kirsten Brandt. I studied in Dublin for a summer which afforded me time with my family- the last time I’d be in Ireland with my grandfather before he passed.
I aided in devising international work with critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe.

But even more important than any accolade, I met a network of artists I respect and adore. My friends have become my family, and my professors have become an invaluable part of my identity as an artist.

It’s so strange to be leaving a place I found such a profound sense of purpose, and I’m sad I won’t be getting to see my friends in the hall everyday- stressed and venting about life or just having a laugh about another crazy situation- but I know the future holds even more for us all, and I’m excited to find out what that is.

More pictures to come as I get them back from this magical day, but for now, thank you UNLV for one of the greatest chapters of my life. Thank you for allowing me to realize there’s nothing I can’t do if I put my mind to it.

I HAVE A MASTERS DEGREE!!
