MEET DANA✨

Dana Bee is a Manila-based Filipino illustrator and designer whose work grew out of an early love for comics and ink. Drawing on the traditions of woodblock printing and sequential art, she's known for rich textured imagery and character-driven storytelling. Her practice spans editorial illustration, branding, murals, packaging, and comics, moving fluidly between independent projects and commercial work.

For the Bridges exhibit, Dana's incredible work will be supporting @kythefoundation

I brought an unfinished painting along with me to the Munting Sining Art Workshop with the original plan of using it for demonstrating the use of acrylic paint. Some of the kids were really quick in finishing their artworks. So, with a little bit of improvisation, I then thought of using it as a collaborative piece with the kids. I invited each of them to paint their own flower and add other elements, apart from the artwork they are individually making. This is what we came up with!

This artwork along with the kids' individual paintings will be part of the Munting Sining 2026 collection and will be offered for off-site bidding and prints, with proceeds supporting Kythe’s Emergency Fund Campaign for urgent needs such as transportation, medicine, ambulance expenses and funeral/burial support.

It was such a joy and privilege to be the art facilitator of Kythe Foundation Inc.’s “Munting Sining Workshop (Helping Hearts Speak Through Art)” I knew how children with cancer are already faced with undue worry and pain, so it was very important to provide them with a space and opportunity to have good and meaningful time for creativity and self-expression! And surely there were a ton of fun moments during the day. I am so proud of how talented these kids are! I hope we along with the volunteers were able to “manifest” healing by being part of these kids’ artistic journey.

Kythe Foundation Inc. in partnership with AIA Philippines brought Munting Sining to Ayala Museum last October 10, 2026 with fifteen child patients from National Children’s Hospital and Philippine Childrens Medical Center to create inspired artworks. These artworks will be offered for off-site bidding and prints, with proceeds supporting Kythe’s Emergency Fund Campaign for urgent needs such as transportation, medicine, ambulance expenses and funeral/burial support.

Some artworks don’t get to stay forever, but the memories always remain. 💜

So grateful I had the opportunity to conceptualize the lineart for this mural for the @kythefoundation office last year at National Children’s Hospital. This was a special mural too, where a few of the kids painted with us and IMG Mediabrands. This space will be renovated for new memories to be made, and more children to find joy & healing along their recovery journey. ❤️‍🩹

Yesterday, together with friends and family, we spent time with the little warriors of the @kythefoundation at Philippine Childrens Medical Center for a weaving activity.

It became more than just a creative activity, it became a moment of joy, connection, and hope. Every thread they wove reminded us that even through difficult journeys, there is still room for creativity, courage, and happiness.

So happy to see them enjoying weaving while waiting for their treatment, they didn’t even want to go home! Even though the weaving kits were gifts for them, I think we received the greater gift: seeing their smiles and happiness. 🥹🤗

30 kids graduated from cancer. 🥹🎓🤍

What a sentence to be able to write.

Last Sep 14, 2026, we got to witness 30 incredibly brave children celebrate a milestone no child should ever have to fight for—and yet, here they are. Survivors. Graduates. Proof of courage, hope, answered prayers, and what it means to keep going. 🥹

Seeing them walk across that stage with their families and @kythefoundation who fought alongside them was incredibly moving.

This wasn’t just a graduation.

It was 30 beautiful reminders that hope can win. 🤍

What an honor to witness a day like this. Congratulations to these little warriors and their families. 🎓✨
