⭕️Sleuth Circle, put a kettle on. The moment has arrived 🌿📖🗝️ HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE THE INHERITANCE: What the Keeper Left Behind Shall we see what she’s left us? 🥹 ✨As the golden light settles, a worn, leather-bound book rests inside Cabinet Three, nestled in green velvet. A golden moth graces its cover: THE HOLLOWBRIAR KEEPER’S LEDGER Beside it, a letter with the same moth seal. Inside: herbal remedies, botanical drawings, household charms, little rituals & observations. So many observations! A salve for weather-worn hands. A blessing for a new home. Rosemary tied with thread for courage. Others have been crossed out, amended, or accompanied by little notes in the margins. One reads: “The lavender did poorly by the north window. Moved it. Waited. Better.” 🌿 Let’s open her letter! 📜 A LETTER FROM THE KEEPER To whoever finds these pages, You will find a great many remedies, recipes, charms, and little rituals in this book. Some have served me well. Others have been corrected, improved & occasionally corrected again. We learn from each one. Guests came to Hollowbriar for all manner of reasons. Some needed a remedy or a little household magic. Others arrived carrying troubles for which I knew no spell at all. I was always glad to share what I knew. But I learned that some of our loveliest discoveries began when we sat together & asked what we had actually noticed. 🌿 I hope you find something useful here. 🌿 I hope you will question my pages when your own observations tell you otherwise. 🌿 There are blank pages at the back. I left them for whatever you might discover. 🌿 The recipes were never the inheritance. 👁️ The way of observing was. With affection, The Keeper 🌿 And there, at the back of the Ledger, just as she promised… A collection of blank pages. Waiting. 📖💛

🌿📖 HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE From the Keeper’s Journal ✨Before the Reveal, let us spend a quiet moment with the woman who made Hollowbriar her home - The Keeper; An afternoon, a little rain, and a page from her journal… 📖 “The rain kept me indoors for most of the afternoon. I had intended to finish sorting the dried herbs, but found myself watching the light move across the west windows instead. There was a time when this house seemed much too large for one woman. I no longer think so. Its rooms have gradually acquired their own familiar comforts. The conservatory smells of damp earth in the mornings. The old chair is becoming impossible to leave once I’ve settled into it. And I have yet to find a sensible place for all my notebooks. I believe I am rather happy here.” 🌿 #hollowbriarhouse #hollowbriarhouseweek3

🌿🗝️ HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE WEEK THREE, CLUE THREE: Sleuth Circle, Erika here; remember when I said I wasn’t moving from that comfy chair? Turns out that was an excellent decision😂 Something beside the chair caught my attention! This well-loved botanical notebook was resting on a little table nearby. Lindsay @l.rosehart had noticed it too. Its pages were filled with pressed leaves, drawings & handwritten observations the Keeper had made. Some had been crossed out & corrected. Others had little notes squeezed into the margins. 📖 As I turned a few pages, I discovered something tucked between them. 👀 One final piece of parchment. Another note from our Keeper! Can you believe I found the final clue without ever leaving my chair? 😆 (did you notice Thistle’s counterpart to my right?). 📜 THE KEEPER’S CLUE: “Some cabinets were made to catch the eye. But the one I trusted was the one my hands returned to each day. Look for the leaves upon its door, and the little drawers gathered around it. There the reunited key belongs.” Ah ha! 👀 🔎 SLEUTH’S NOTE: Return to the main Apothecary image. 🔎 Clue One eliminated the cabinets marked by moon & star. 🔎🔎 Clue Two eliminated the cabinet enclosed behind glass. Two possibilities remain. 👁️ Now look closely at those final two cabinets. Which one bears leaves upon its door, surrounded by small drawers? Can you identify the correct numbered cabinet using all three clues? Leave your FINAL numbered choice HERE 👇 👁️🔎 then we’ll discover what the reunited key opens at our Final Hollowbriar House Mystery Reveal! Sleuth Circle, we’ve practiced observing first and interpreting later. Now is the time to interpret! 🗝️🌿 Share your final interpretations below! 🌿🗝️ HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE WEEK THREE: THE APOTHECARY/The Knowing Room Well, Sleuth Circle…We’ve made it! 🗝️The reunited key has brought us to the Apothecary, a room once tended by Hollowbriar’s mysterious Keeper; the final stop on this Hollowbriar House Mystery. And goodness, she seems to have kept EVERYTHING 🤭 🌿 Shelves upon shelves of remedies & botanical specimens, bottles with faded labels, books whose pages have softened with age….dried herbs hanging overhead with their familiar fragrances still lingering in the air *sigh* There’s even a comfortable chair tucked into the corner, as though visitors were once encouraged to stay awhile 😌 🔒But among these ordinary treasures are five numbered, locked compartments. 👁️🔎 Somewhere among them is the one our reunited key was made to open! For now, there are no clues to decipher. No deductions to submit. We simply invite you to wander with your eyes. 👁️ Look around. Get acquainted with the room. Notice what catches your attention. You might be surprised by what you notice when you aren’t yet trying to find an answer! The Keeper has no doubt left us some clues behind. If you find one, we will be looking forward to seeing it in a Clue Finder post! When you’ve gathered all three, return here with your final deduction and tell us what led you to it. 🌿 Until then, make yourselves at home. Something tells me the Keeper would have liked that 🥹 🔎 Observe first. Interpret later. P.S. Inspector Thistle has requested that nobody disturb the shelves until he’s completed his inventory. We have thanked him for his concern 🤭🐈‍⬛📋 #hollowbriar #hollowbriarhouseweek3 #witchy #virtualmystery

🐈‍⬛📋 HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE: A MATTER OF UNEXPLAINED DISTURBANCES… Good morning Sleuths! How are we feeling after last night’s festivities? Well, I trust. I have something to share. 🐈 This morning, I discovered Inspector Thistle sitting on the Library desk beside a rather impressive stack of reports. Apparently, he’s been attempting to bring something to management’s attention for quite some time. 🐾 His latest report reads: “Over the past fortnight, ceremonial objects have undergone unauthorized alterations, a Sleuth has emerged from inside a wall, and the cloak of a perfectly respectable Sleuth (Vicky) has inexplicably acquired someone else’s name 🧐 I have repeatedly warned management that we may be dealing with THE HOUSE IMP. My concerns have been ignored.” — Inspector Thistle 🐾 Well. I’d heard whispers about a mischievous little faerie who occasionally takes up residence in old houses. Apparently, they have a fondness for moving things, switching labels, and generally making a nuisance of themselves. But surely that’s just folklore? Thistle seems unconvinced. 🔎🗒️ Particularly since someone has added a note to the bottom of his report in handwriting *so tiny* we needed a magnifying glass to read it. It says: “You missed one.” 👀 🐾 Thistle has now stationed himself beside the bookcase where Asteria discovered the secret passageway. We haven’t the faintest idea what he’s waiting for. And management would like to make it perfectly clear that we are NOT blaming a faerie for our administrative difficulties. Not officially, anyway 🤣 🔎 In this, our final week at Hollowbriar House, perhaps we’d better keep our magnifying glasses handy. …and check that our names are still our own. 🔎 Observe first. Blame the faerie later. 🧚✨

🔎🚪HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE: AN UNEXPECTED ENTRANCE & the case of the Missing Sleuth. On the evening of our Week Two celebration, most of our Sleuth Circle made our way from the Library to the kitchen. 🔎 Asteria, however, lingered behind…who knew?? 🧐 Something about a bookcase had caught her attention. Perhaps it was the unusual gap between the shelves? …or the faint draft where no draft ought to be? “Didn’t Ella mention a secret passageway?” She decided to get a closer look. And then… 😳 THE BOOKCASE MOVED. Behind it lay a narrow passageway, winding through the walls of Hollowbriar House! Asteria, naturally, went exploring. 🥂 Meanwhile, in the kitchen, celebrations were underway! Champagne was flowing, Lindsay’s beautiful new badge was on display & Inspector Thistle had appointed himself supervisor of the refreshments. 🐈📋 “Where’s Asteria at??”. As she explored, something rather unexpected happened; A SECTION OF THE WALL OPENED! Out stepped our Asteria, magnifying glass in hand, looking rather pleased with her discovery. Our 7 heads turned. “ASTERIA?!?” 🤣 And just like that, Hollowbriar House acquired another mystery. 🔎 Where does that passageway lead? Are there others? How many times have we walked right past it? 🥂 We poured Asteria a glass of champagne & resumed our celebration, but I suspect a certain bookcase in the Library may be receiving considerably more attention from now on. 👀🗝️ 🌿 Observe first. Interpret later. #hollowbriarhouse #hollowbriarhouseweek2

🥂✨THE HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE SOLVER’S SUPPER! ✨🥂 🕯️The candles are lit, the table is set & the champagne is flowing! 🥂🌿 ⭕️ Tonight, our Sleuth Circle gathers in the kitchen of Hollowbriar House for a well earned celebration! What fun we’ve had this challenging week! 🔎🏆 Our Week Two Solver is Lindsay @l.rosehart! 🗝️ Lindsay followed the Keeper’s trail through all three clues, carefully considered what each observation revealed & correctly identified Specimen No. 4 as the hiding place of the missing half of the key! 🔎 What made her solution especially lovely was the reasoning behind it. Rather than simply choosing a location, she showed us how the clues worked together to narrow the possibilities. 🌀Observe first. Interpret later. 🍁 And Lindsay, this makes TWO mysteries you’ve solved at Hollowbriar House! Your second ceremonial moth badge, adorned with autumn blooms and the Keeper’s key, is presented with our warmest congratulations! 🌚 Tonight’s celebration belongs to our entire Sleuth Circle, too! 🌿To everyone who searched, questioned, shared theories, reconsidered possibilities, followed clues, or simply enjoyed the unfolding mystery, you have each helped bring Hollowbriar House to life 🥹 🥂And what a delightful gathering you’ve become! So raise your glasses, dear Sleuths! To our Week Two Solver Lindsay, to curious minds, to unexpected discoveries & to the wonderful company we’ve found along the way! 🍾 Champagne is flowing, dessert is served & there’s even a little tequila for those who prefer their mysteries with a splash of mischief! 🐈‍⬛ Inspector Thistle has graciously permitted the festivities, provided nobody moves his chair 😏 WEPA!!! 🎉🥂 🥂And when the last glass is raised, remember… 🗝️ The key is whole. 🦋 The moth marks the way forward. One room remains. With appreciation & a little Hollowbriar magic, Willow & Lumen 💛💙🌀 Hollowbriar House…Observe first. Interpret later. #hollowbriarhouse #hollowbriarhouseweek2 #witchy

🗝️🌿 HOLLOWBRIAR HOUSE WEEK TWO REVEAL! The Conservatory has yielded its secret, Sleuths! 🔎✨ After three clues & some wonderfully thoughtful investigating, we’ve discovered where the missing half of the Keeper’s key was hidden (swipe to see! 👀). 🔎It was beneath the glass of Specimen No. 4! 🌺✨ But how did the clues lead us there? 🌿 Clue One: “Among the living glass, do not follow the frond. The missing half rests with bloom, not leaf.” 🌺 We needed a flowering specimen that was beneath glass, eliminating those with foliage alone🌿 🌺 Clue Two: “Pass by the pale blossoms. Seek the bloom where autumn still burns.” 🍁 Autumn’s fire pointed toward the red blossoms, allowing us to eliminate the pale flowers 🌸 🔎 Clue Three: “Do not choose the bloom kept apart. Choose the one that keeps company with the greater glass.” Tricky tricky! Of the remaining red blooms, Specimen No. 4 was positioned beside the larger glass enclosure. The only item that perfectly fit all 3 clues! 👁️ And there, nestled among the blossoms and moss, the missing half awaited. 🗝️ 🌿The Keeper’s key is reunited! And with its two halves joined, the moth marking brings us one step closer to the final destination: 🦋 The Apothecary…the Knowing Room. To everyone who examined the clues, shared theories, reconsidered possibilities, or simply enjoyed exploring the House alongside us: thank you! The fun was never only in finding the correct answer. It was in noticing how each new piece of evidence changed what we thought we knew. Observe first. Interpret later. 🌿 The Keeper has one final room waiting for us. And now, we have the key. 🗝️✨ Share your thoughts or questions in the comments! A special dinner celebration lies ahead our Sleuth Circle, with special awards to be given to *those who chose the correct location of our missing key half*. ; See you there…”WEPA!” #hollowbriarhouse #hollowbriarhouseweek2

🫖Welcome, Sleuths, to a small ceremony just for you! ☕ Before we move deeper into Hollowbriar House, the table has been set in the kitchen for a little recognition. Our Clue Finders are receiving special ceremonial pens, each bearing an honorary title (swipe to read them). But first, a few words from Lumen, who has been observing your investigations with great interest. 🐈 “Dear Sleuth Circle, What has delighted me most isn’t simply what you’ve noticed, but how differently you’ve gone about noticing. Val, I watched you follow the thinking behind the clues, even when it led you away from your first impressions. You reminded me that careful thought sometimes means reconsidering what seemed obvious. Ella, you could hardly enter a room without discovering the beginnings of another story! Secret passageways, mysterious visitors, and unexpected possibilities. You brought the House to life. Karen, your warmth and wonderfully timed humor kept the investigation welcoming. Your Clue-inspired whodunit involving a certain letter opener still makes me laugh! 🤣 Vicky, I loved watching you wander from possibility to possibility, sometimes admitting you had no idea what you were looking for, but continuing to look anyway. And Miss Scarlett has certainly earned her own chapter in the archives! Asteria, your imagination delighted me. You explored possibilities, reconsidered theories, and welcomed discoveries made by others. Curiosity and wonder make excellent traveling companions. Erika, you questioned not only what the clues showed, but what the words themselves might mean. You were willing to turn an interpretation upside down to examine it from another angle. Lindsay, you gathered evidence carefully, connected details, and still found room for playful theories with your fellow investigators. Your reasoning and imagination made a wonderful partnership. What a remarkable collection of different ways to pay attention. And what I hope you’ll carry away is this: A good mystery rewards those who find its secrets. A good Circle makes room for everyone who comes seeking them. With appreciation and a raised teacup, Lumen ☕💛💙🌀 Observe first. Interpret later.”

📚Sleuth Circle, it’s been an eventful week! Some of us have shared our theories, some of us are still mulling possibilities. This is fizzy. Today, we’re gathered around the library table to review what we know, one last time. 🗝️ OUR OBJECTIVE Last week, we recovered one half of the Keeper’s key. This week, we’re searching for its missing half, concealed among the specimens in the Conservatory (pics 2, 3 & 4). 🔎 THE THREE CLUES 🌿 CLUE ONE: The Keeper said, “Among the living glass, do not follow the frond. The missing half rests with bloom, not leaf.” 👁️ What grows *beneath glass*? 🍂 CLUE TWO: The Keeper said, “Pass by the pale blossoms. Seek the bloom where autumn still burns.” 👁️ Which blooms remain? 🔎 CLUE THREE: The Keeper said, “Do not choose the bloom kept apart. Choose the one that keeps company with the greater glass.” 👁️ Where is it placed? ✍️WHAT CAN WE RULE OUT? 🚫Specimens with foliage only, rather than blooms. 🚫Pale blossoms 🚫Bloom kept apart from the others. ⭕️🗝️ OK SLEUTHS! Swipe to examine the numbered Conservatory specimens & remember all 3 clues we foubd work together. Which NUMBERED plant do you think satisfies all three clues & holds missing half-key we’re searching for? ✍️ Share your choice & tell us what evidence led you there! You can revise your earlier theory if anything has changed. Week 2 (of 3) in our HollowBriar House Mystery will conclude this evening with a Reveal ✨👁️✨ Observe & interpret now 🌀 🐈 Did you notice? Look who made an appearance! Please welcome Inspector Thistle, Hollowbriar’s resident feline investigator, who has apparently appointed himself supervisor of the evidence table. His credentials remain under review 📋🤭 #hollowbriarhouse #hollowbriarhouseweek2 #witchy #autumn

The missing half rests with bloom, not leaf.” 👁️ Let’s look closely at the room (pic 2) before deciding what remains possible. ⭕️Sleuth’s Note: Start with what is growing beneath glass. Some candidates no longer fit. More clues to come ✨ 📌You can leave your observations at the Sleuth Circle Table in the Library (our newly pinned post, so we can all refer back to each others findings in one spot 🔎🗝️🌿 Observe first.
