Imagine if I still wore my Apple Watch 🙃…

would’ve clocked more [accurate] steps & distance. nonetheless, still a great workout frolicking in my old #Brooklyn neighborhood. BK is the really the only thing I miss about living in #NewYork . So beautiful, so vibrant. 🫶🏾

Get outside! Get some fresh air & a good workout!

Frog Pose 🐸
Mandukasana
*watch til the end for a surprise*

This one right here….gotta be a fave of mine forsure. Such a great deep hip opener that is so inviting for extensive breaths in the belly & groin.

Froggy is good for improving hip mobility & flexibility (especially if you’re trying to get into a middle splits). It aids in the promotion of emotional balance, calm/relaxation, helps with back pain & digestion.

Take caution when getting down & be sure to ease into this pose slowly because you may not know just how tight your hips/groin is until you get in this pose 😬.

see ya on the mat…let’s get it! ✌🏾

I used to go to @yogaheightsdc on Wednesdays when I lived in DC almost faithfully to see one particular instructor named Amy R. I had lived above this studio for almost a year before I started coming in. I would always just do yoga in my apartment & workout at the gym, until one day I finally decided to check it out. For some reason, I picked the Wednesday Power Flow sessions & that’s how I got acquainted with Amy. I’d always sit in front of class & loved the energy she always brought. So tranquil, so peaceful, Amy had a light & I absorbed it. She’d push me to my limit always giving me adjustments during the workout & I appreciated it.

Because of her calming demeanor, soft spoken voice, professionalism & always amazing playlists, I thought “maybe I could be an instructor one day”…

& now,
here I am . 😇🤲🏾

after I went to the CorePower Yoga workout event about a month ago, I wasn’t ready to go home . It fueled me; On top of the sun 🌞 beaming so brightly & beautifully, so I thought…”WHY NOT go to the park & do more yoga?” & I did just that. Freestyled right in the middle of the greenest, most sunniest spot I could find . Always Greener on my side 😌🌱💚
