I never thought a soccer ball could be so beautiful. Handmade from leather scraps during a workshop led by @malenaguerrieri at @la.sudestada earlier this summer ⚽️

Drawing from archived leather remnants sourced from her family’s factory in Argentina, artist Malena Guerrieri (@malenaguerrieri) is keeping a disappearing Argentine craft alive. Working with unused materials in a wide range of colors and textures, she transforms industrial leftovers into one-of-a-kind pieces that exist beautifully between functional objects and sculpture.

Every single ball is a unique piece of history, rich with family archive, material experimentation, and the warmth of the human touch.

This Friday we hosted friends, industry natives, and the two finalist teams of @bamba_sports ‘s GOAT CUP above Grand Central for a night of celebration and creativity.

With design led by @la.sudestada @cehamer everyone was able to bring a vibe, build a jersey, and enjoy this intimate space as the perfect way to kick off their FIFA 2026 World Cup Final weekend in NYC.

Big shoutout to @redbullusa @drinkcasalu for providing beverage and to CLA for hosting !!

Sandye Renz, @my_mother_taught_me the queen of the Pocket will help you Pocketize or Empocket any garment! Also she's doing a button thing. If we're lucky she'll bring her Mermaid Parade lewk.
Sarah Byrd @lady_byrd is a legend among textile/fashion academics, and archivists (she teaches everywhere! FIT, NYU, Parsons) --she will lead you through the history of Domestic Arts while you construct your own needlebook. This is her hand researching a lacescape at Museum at @museumatfit

Tener una expo en Greenpoint con artistas increíbles, y tener la posibilidad de dar un workshop con un grupo hermoso donde en una tarde salieron piezas increíbles, realmente me llenó el corazón!
