🕵️‍♀️📚 CASE FILES: THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE SCREENS 💚

Somehow (Laura) a group of readers found each other, and now none of us can be trusted to enable responsible TBR practices 😅😂

We've been in the comments, causing chaos in the group chat, enabling each other's book-buying habits and probably oversharing... a lot 😅 and we don't care 😂
But how much do you actually know about the people behind the profiles? 🤔

It's time to put some faces (and personalities) to the names! Meet 12 of us readers behind the screens, discover our bookish red flags and green flags, and find out exactly what kind of chaos each of us brings to the table. 😂📖

Countless unread books. Questionable levels of self-control. One group chat. A questionable amount of Twilight talk... 🤝

Swipe through and meet a few of the people who have truly made this corner of Bookstagram feel like a community

And if you're new around here, consider this your official introduction to the chaos. Welcome to the group! 💚📚

P.S. Not all of our members are featured in this post, but they're very much still apart of the chaos

I didn’t realize I posted this to stories and not on my page. These ladies deserve more time from me than that.

Here are another five incredible artists who always lift others up and post things that make me smile! Their work is amazing and so are they!

Thank you are for being the community that I didn’t know I needed! You’re all incredible! 🫶🏻😘👏

There are so many great individuals within this community, and it’s crazy to think that I’ve only been a part of it for a few weeks. I could think of so many more that are deserving of a shout out, but I really am grateful for these ones for bringing life to my feed, my inbox etc. Thank you for your wisdom, your truths, your encouragement, and especially your humor. You bring those perfect little anecdotes of joy that make this space that much more fun.

Thank you again, @writes.as.rae.b.ryker 💙, for inspiring me. I’m grateful to have found you within this community too!

I took most of these on a road trip out to New Mexico (pics 1-4). These are taken on expired 35mm FUJICOLOR C200 film with a Pentax K1000 using a fixed 50mm lens and a polarized filter. Definitely an experimental roll. I have some things to work on but I’m happy with the results.

When I admitted I liked the Project Hail Mary movie better than the book in a post a little while ago, I found out I wasn’t the only one! Then, I asked what other movies you thought were better than the books and many of you bravely came through with some great answers. 🍿

So this post belongs to all of you! A huge thank you to everyone who contributed a pick. 😊 I gave you a shout out on the credit slides! But apparently I can only tag 20 people on the slides, so I couldn’t tag @readsinquietmoments on the credit slide 🤦‍♀️ So a special mention here instead!

Now that these are all in one place, will you be creating a “To be watched” list to go with your TBR? 🎬 Save this one for the next time you need something to watch!

We love getting book recommendations especially when they are from an interesting genre!

This time, @lacimcgeewrites has recommended a horror novel, Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman, and it’s definitely one that’s caught our attention. Dark, atmospheric, and unlike anything we’ve picked up before… we’re excited to check this one out.

In @lacimcgeewrites ‘s words:

I kept seeing this book pop up here and there. It’s an older book, about 12 years old, but the themes are still relevant.

I recommend this book to anyone who wants a story that lingers. This is one that stays with you. This is a story where you look for those little moments of hope.

Your turn: What’s one horror / dark book you’d recommend to every reader?
