A lot of you guys know how special Taiwan is to me, and I can’t be more excited to embark on my Taiwan Racing block across November and December!

1st November - 70.3 Kenting
13th November - Formosa Xtreme Triathlon
20th December - Taipei Marathon

Saw the startlists and there are really strong taiwanese guys whom I am really looking forward to meet.

Even more stoked to have 博智 and 蜂蜜 to be part of my support crew for @formosa_taiwanxtri. Xtreme Triathlons are super cool because are support crew mandatory, which means I am not racing alone.

These few months I have been taking interest in getting the black shirt at Norseman before I turn 30, and I just thought this would be the first step towards it. It is going to be a long and rough day, but we will make it to the top of Mt. Hehuan together 💪

9:04 and 3rd Overall at Ironman Korea… On paper that is indeed a good result, and it is a 16 minute personal best from Ironman Vietnam back in May. But in reality, I feel rather disappointed. How you race an Ironman is a reflection of your training block and how you are as a person and I felt like I fell short of my personal standards.

In the journey leading up to Ironman Korea, I have been so obsessed with trying to become a better runner. I felt that my worth was tied to how good I was as a runner that I lost focus on what was actually important which was becoming a better triathlete.I cut corners in my bike training and didn’t have the discipline in myself to get the important bike sessions done in this block. 2 weeks before race day, I found myself sitting at the side of TMCR just wondering what kind of standard am I accepting when I couldn’t find it within myself to get my long ride done.I’ve let my ego take control of my training the wrong way and was ultimately defeated by it 130km into the bike where I entered a really dark place, something that didn’t happen in Vietnam. At that moment, I felt really pathetic and I wanted to call it quits. So yes, it is a Personal Best and a good timing, but I do wonder how much of it was because I actually became better than who I was.

I am very grateful for all the support I have received from everyone, but a part of me still felt that I have let you guys down because this wasn’t the version of myself that I wanted to present to you guys. I have many things that I have to work on not just in training but also as a person. What I can promise is the next time I stand on an Ironman startline, I will deliver the best version of myself.

See you guys in Hamburg xx

70.3 Serbia, my fastest one yet, but not fast enough.

It wasn't a smooth journey but super pleased with my performance at my first major race as a working adult. A busy season ahead with one more opportunity to potentially go sub-4hrs so let's see what we can do to chase down @aaron.kiss and @brycechong_triathlon

As always a special thanks to all the support and people helping me along the way.

Race peaked at the swim exit 😅 2nd out the water and 8th in the end in the hardest race i’ve ever done.

Thank you to Cebu and @ironman70.3lapulapu for the insane support all week. Another half distance under the belt for this debut pro season, will need to come back and redeem myself on this course next year 🥵
