POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A couple of weeks ago my wife planned a surprise party for my 40th. She did an early sneak attack with layers of deceptive stories - all making for a genuinely surprising moment. A rare thing I get to experience! Truly loved it. Thank you to all my friends and family for the best magic I’ve experienced in a while. And to my amazing wife @elizabethdeponto (who has the same birthday as me!) for making it truly special. And honestly for learning how to trick me… 😮🤯♥️

✨ Announcing a New Touring Partnership: LubDub x 55B Productions ✨

LubDub Theatre Co joins forces with Jenny Tibbels of 55B Productions to launch the U.S. and international tour of The Magic Bullet. The show is now booking, with several engagements already confirmed for 2027.

The Magic Bullet traces the historical collision between French colonial ambition and Algerian Sufi mysticism, where the illusions of empire meet forms of knowledge they cannot contain.

Presenters cultivating adventurous contemporary performance, formally inventive theatre, and decolonial perspectives: We’d love to meet you.

Inquiries and presenter materials:
Jenny Tibbels, 55B Productions LLC
@55bproductions

The Magic Bullet is created by Caitlin Nasema Cassidy, Robert Duffley, Noelle Ghoussaini, Geoff Kanick, Ismail Khalidi, and Mohamed Yabdri.

It is developed by LubDub Theatre Co and co-commissioned by Pangea World Theatre in partnership with the Arab American National Museum, Noor Theatre, and National Performance Network.

Production support is provided through the National Theater Project, a program of the New England Foundation for the Arts, and the National Performance Network Artist Engagement Fund. Black poster with bright neon yellow typography reading: "the magic bullet." Below, the title appears in Arabic and French ("La Balle Magique"). A faint grayscale image of a revolver spans the background behind the text. Small logos for LubDub Theatre Co. appear at the top corners. A white banner across the bottom reads: "Announcing new touring partnership."

Ushering in 2026 with new collaborators and old friends, and a renewed dedication to international exchange through the arts. Live|Arts|Lab and the annual APAP Conference in NYC in Jan, transcendent performances at globalFEST, and new work during Under the Radar Festival - special shout out to The TEAM’s ensemble production of Reconstructing which confronts the aftermath of enslavement in the U.S.

55B Productions remains committed to partnering with artists and strengthening pathways for global connection.
