What an amazing day. Thankful for @marissamtchll having @rhythmandpurpose on her @fox5dc show! @billyc_hifive and his daughters had a 🔥🔥🔥performance. @rapsody is such a beautiful person and spirit! Awesome meeting @jojocrews. I missed formally meeting @tonestith 😩 but his performance was 🔥 as well! Great vibes and a beautiful day.

It’s CHURCH ANNIVERSARY SUNDAY and I LOVEEE @gatheringplacedc REAL BAD. 🥹💗

TGP is truly a place where EVERYONE can experience the glory of God. And one thing I appreciate so much? Nobody is trying to tell me what to do. Not my pastors, elders, ministers, or anybody else. 😂

Y’all know I’m a SLOW PROCESSOR AND SUSPICIOUS. Baby, I need time to observe, ask questions, and let things marinate. 😂 And this church has given me the space and grace to do just that.

Y’all don’t understand how freeing that has been for someone who’s always felt different and has had so many things forced on her. And I don’t say that from a place of hurt. I say it because my heart has always needed to be handled with tenderness. There’s something powerful about being loved without feeling like you have to surrender your own ability to think, process, and hear from God.

I can hear the Word, let it marinate, and sit with Jesus without feeling pressured to adopt somebody else’s thoughts or timeline. My pastors and elders have given me room to grow in my relationship with God, trusting Him to work on my heart in His own way.

Because the closer you get to Jesus, the more you want Him. The more you want to know Him. The more you want to be like Him. 🥹

My church has been a safe space where I’ve made mistakes, experienced deliverance, been corrected in love, and literally fallen (y’all know vertigo be TAKING ME OUT 😭). Through all of it, I’ve experienced a kind of love that makes room for me to be human while still growing in Christ.

Happy Anniversary, TGP! 💗

I love you, @jjhairston & @trinahairston . Thank you for praying for me, extending grace, and loving me in the way I needed to be loved. Y’all have no idea what that has meant to me.

I want to take a moment to recognize a very special person, who’s also a family caregiver.

@heystacy_ is caring for 2 seniors in her home with her husband while they both work full time. And with all that going on, she accepted my invitation to appear on the #MarissaMitchell show with me to talk about the emotional and financial toll of caregiving.

She did phenomenal on the show and is doing exceptional in life and along her care journey. @ladykay129 lifted her face while she enlightened all of our hearts. Thank you Stacy for answering the call 😘.

While at @fox5dc, I met and chopped it up with @thealreynolds who also has an amazing care story with a great love for HBCUs. Stay tuned for that…😉. Thank you, Al, for the chat 💬 and for what’s to come.

We rounded off the day breaking bread 🥖 with my friend and talented filmmaker 🎞️ @rcadellcook who has a new comedy movie 🍿 coming out in a couple of months. Can’t wait 🤗.

Now, all this running around could not have been possible without the gracious support and skillset of one @ladykay129. She literally is my everything on the road. Love you Kris! 🥰

📣THE NUMBERS ARE IN 📣

The @radiofreekjlh Women’s Health Expo 2026 brought in a whopping 8,800+ people to @longbeachcec 😲! Can you believe that?!

And family caregiving and dementia care was front and center with a memory care lane and plenty of resources.

I’m just so thankful I was able to be in the number just one more time 🥹.

Special thanks to @adailamar and my KJLH (102.3 FM) family for executing the vision that is so special and necessary for family caregivers.

Birthday tradition: ✅

Late post! For the second year in a row (and the fourth time overall), I got to spend part of my birthday serving at Ronald McDonald House Charities—cooking meals and sharing a little joy with families who have enough on their plates already. ❤️🏡

One thing about me… I’m always going to choose experiences over extravagance. Maybe with just a lil extravagance 👌🏾. Grateful for another year of life and another opportunity to serve.
