Some favorite corners of our home. 🤍 This project was about making updates feel like they had always been there. We thought a lot about honoring the history of the home while layering in personal details that made it our own. Every detail tells a story.

We couldn’t be more thrilled to publish our latest Designer Q&A with our client (and dear friend!) Jenny Holladay of @jennyholladaydesign — a full-service interior design firm located in Richmond, Virginia dedicated to crafting timeless interiors that honor tradition while embracing a fresh, modern perspective. A native of Richmond, Jenny attended Saint Catherine’s School before earning her B.A. in Art History from the University of Virginia. After graduating, she began her career in New York City at Ford Models Inc., where she worked as a talent agent for five years. In 2011, she decided to pursue her long-standing interest in interior design. She started at a small design firm before joining @summerthorntondesign in 2014. Over the next nine years, she worked closely with Summer on a range of residential projects, gaining extensive experience in high-end interior design.

In 2023, Jenny returned to Richmond to open her own firm, where she offers thoughtful, approachable interiors tailored to each client. Her work has been featured in House Beautiful, Frederic, Vogue, Galerie, RHome, and The Glam Pad, including both her independent designs and collaborations with Summer Thornton.

Head to our website for our full interview with Jenny to read about her process, what she’s working on now, and what inspires her most as a designer today 💕

swel les listes feature ✨ @elizabethcooperinteriordesign

From @jenniledwards - Do you remember Laura Ashley? I wanted the most ridiculously ridiculous little girls’ room ever. Think Laura Ashley, but MORE. Every pattern, every floral, every shade of pink. Elizabeth delivered, and six years later, I still smile every time I walk in. It’s a dream come true. Thank God Lelly likes pink, or she’d have to move. 💗

From Elizabeth - “Think Pink!” That was the vision for her only daughter’s bedroom and bathroom, and I happily ran with it. We layered shades of pink and mix-and-match patterns while keeping the design classic and timeless, never trendy. I love that this room could belong to any number of eras.

✨ you can find Elizabeth’s contact info in our Les Listes via the link in bio! (ps tell her we sent you😘)

For as long as we can remember, we have loved and dreamt of working with @abbyl_ward. From her years of working as Art Director at Tory Burch to the creative consulting she has done for incredible names like Ariel Okin, Weezie, Roller Rabbit, Draper James, Minnow Swim, and Mark Sikes, Abby has made a name for herself as the ultimate visual storyteller. Through her moodboards, she brings the souls of brands to life, capturing the pieces of an artistic identity that inspire the most magic and spark the most joy.

This past spring, we hosted Abby at our showroom in Georgetown, where we thought long and hard about what makes Evans & Sheldon unique. Much like Abby’s work, our job is to help turn our clients’ dreams into reality, creating something — or some place — that feels like home. With our family of nearly forty brands from around the world, we strive to balance elegance and sophistication with comfort and ease. Warm, inviting, and perfectly imperfect, our showroom recreates the feeling of visiting an old country house complete with maximalist florals, ivy covered walls, tattered Wellies, Fair Isle sweaters, and baskets full of wildflowers.

The first time we saw the board Abby created for us, we gasped! With fabrics hand-selected from our showroom, she has brought the soul of Evans & Sheldon to life, crafting a daydream of garden tea parties, barnyard friends, and enchanting interiors paired with some of our very favorite designs from @fermoie, @lewisandwood, @miareaydesigns, @penny_morrison_ltd, @namaysamay, @vanrenenhanbury, @alice.sergeant, @annajeffreysltd, @textilesbysmith_, @lakeaugust, @nicholasherbertltd, @decorsbarbares, @leahoconnelltextiles, @decordeparis, @volga_linen, @tessnewallstudio, and more.

A million thanks to Abby for making our dreams come true! Your work is amazing, as are YOU ✨

The last three months at Project Saint George have been all about the renovation - tackling the necessary fixes while slowly bringing the vision for this house to life.

From designing new vaulted ceilings to changing every hinge, window sash and piece of hardware in the house, there have been a lot of little (and not-so-little) decisions along the way.

It’s finally starting to feel like it’s coming together. Furniture will begin arriving over the next few months, and we’re excited to watch the next layer take shape. 🤍

Updated the four bathrooms at the Camano Island project solely with paint, wallpaper, lighting, and hardware and accessories. We even left the lighting locations exactly where they were. No construction. So much charm.

The hardware from @matildagoad and the window covering from @gotain.official are the cutest.

We had to use this paper from @lakeaugust

@rejuvenation lighting makes it into almost all of our projects.

This @rebeccaatwooddesigns paper really brightened up a very dark basement bathroom.
