SAKOKU 鎖国 Thank you, @kyooriocity , for aptly naming this recipe.

While someday I’ll be sharing the detailed recipe to everyone, today you’ll have to visit me to taste this delicious appetiser. I’ll be the happiest if someone can recreate this without my help.

Let's show solidarity with farmers protesting for legal guarantees in MSP. As consumers let's realise that food prices have been kept low for decades and farmers have cross-subsidised other sections of the working class. For too long, we have taken food and farmers for granted, but high time to think of securing their livelihoods.

Will natural fibres come back to life in Karnataka?

Venkatesh Nagsetti and his family who spin ropes from dried leaves of agave plants have kept the natural sisal ropes alive. However, earlier there were around 100 families of Kuderu, Tenkalmole and Badagalamole who were involved in this practice. 20 years ago, they stopped using the natural fibre. Now they make reusable plastic ropes from cement bags

Provision for bank loans is crucial since it can help workers buy costly solar rope making machines. This way, they would also save the huge expenses made on diesel fueled machines and reduce their heavy workload

🍚Traditional salt-tolerant rice varieties grown in coastal Kaipad lands are set on a revival course. But farmers need more support to produce the nutrient-rich organic crop.

Enhancing rice production from a naturally organic tract is not only important for sustainable agriculture and fulfilling the state’s needs.

This can be done by growing Kaipad rice, which will benefit the society, farmers, environment and the health of consumers. ✨
