Finishing my last year of camp also means I finished my last year of team competition. For how much it has affected and shaped who I am today, it deserves its own post.

I have learned how to be passionate in everything I do. I have learned how to give all that I have until I can’t anymore.

I have learned how to encourage both others and myself in hard circumstances. I have learned what it looks like to choose joy.

I learned how to love those around me in the midst of frustration or sadness. I learned patience.

Most importantly, I learned that my identity is in something bigger than winning or losing. My identity is rooted in the King of Kings, Jesus Christ.

I am forever grateful and blessed for the opportunity to play against all these amazing girls and play for something bigger. I want to thank all of my coaches and captains over the years. I will never forget the encouragement and constant support. It has been an honor to compete and get to play for the glory of God all of these years. It’s always been more than a game. It’s shaped how I live in my daily life.

HOLY COW!! What a blessing it has been to serve at Camp for the past 11 weeks!!

They say that the people make the place, but I can’t even put into words how grateful I am that this place had blessed me with these people. I am beyond thankful for Camp War Eagle, for all of the friendships, for a place that truly feels like a second home, and for every memory that I will cherish forever. Spending 11 weeks on the peninsula was truly more than anything I could ever ask for.
1 Corinthians 16:14 says
“Let all that you do be done in love.” And it’s safe to say this place and these people are a true representation of the Lord and his love. What a gift to be able to impact so many! See you so soon CWE🫶 #immovingtoarkansas

WOW!! what a fulfilling summer it was! I was so excited that the Lord had called me back to camp as a counselor, after being a camper here at CWE, but it was so much more than I ever thought it would be! This summer not only taught me so many life lessons that God knew I needed, but also gave me a family of best friends I couldn’t be more thankful for!
No matter the circumstances in life, He will provide because he is so Good!
Thank you CWE for the best summer ever! ⭐️☀️😇😛🥹💛
